Good food,friendly stuff.
The dining area is dark, and the dated decor doesn't help. The order process was ok, but from there it was all downhill. They... didn't bring the food to my table as they do in other similar hamburger restaurants. The food prices are too high. Thecheeseburger was tasteless; it had a thick slice of tomato, thicker than the meat, probably to make the burger appear big. Thebun was old and falling apart in my hands. The fries are the worst I've had at a burger restaurant. I will not be returning. Read more
Raised in this area and I had to come back to a treasured place. After 10+ yrs of not having it. Its still amazing! More... importantly the restaurant is the same. Except they removed the 2 arcade games. But other than that everything is still thesame. All the vintage pictures are still around the walls and the tables are exactly as i remember. I LOVE ?? Jim's Burgers! I used to eat here as a kid when I lived in Bell. I live outside of Chicago now but whenever I happen... to visit Los Angeles, I make certain that I go to Jim's. I told Jim's Burgers on their Facebook page about how in the early1980's, their paper cups had the Parthenon and Discobolus, and I used to stare at the cup and imagine how they were created.When I became an adult, I was DETERMINED to visit Athens (which I did in 2008) and I walked through the very same Parthenon thatI admired as a kid! Jim's Burgers contributed to my childhood fascination with Greek mythology and inspired me to travel toGreece! Jim's Burgers, you are a part of my life! I moved from bell cali to Colorado i recently visited family in bell i remember jims since the 1970s i had to visit. First off... sonce the 1970s they have not changed, or renovated anything which is disturbing since its been 40 years and nothing has beenreplaced. The seats and tables are those 70s booths that have no room and are not fluffy friendly. I found out the owner diedand left the restaurant to the kids i can tell they are very tight with money and do not care about quality, i mean to not doconstruction on something that is 40 years shows they are tight. I love the steak sandwiches but for 14 dollars its ridiculousits not really steak it was very tough and had nothing but muscle and fat, it was very greasy i asked for my money back after 2bits they refused and asked me to leave. My friend said this place has gone down hill since the steak was the equivalent of whatyou would get at norms for 5.99. The owner must be looking from heaven shaking his head at how pathetic the children have letrhid place go down hill it use to be a staple of bell now its an outdated, nasty place. Read more
