If I could give this place zero stars I would. Go to Mama Pepino?s in West Newton. Better pizza and MUCH better customer... service. Not sure if it was the manager who came out with the terrible attitude when I went to pick up my order or what- Ireally hope it wasn?t the owner. We weren't fans. Maybe we hit an off night, but it didn't seem to live up to the hype. Pizza looked good, but kinda generic... tasting, and the shredded salad wasn't really worth it when toppings were forgotten. We'll try it again, eventually. Read more

My favorite pizza. They still use real pepperoni, not the fake stuff. Great crust, cheese and sauce. Hoagies are above average,... not nearly as good as pizza. Sides like fries and onion rings are overpriced and you don't get much. Read more

The new owners definitely continued the old tradition but also have started to add their own twist. Pizza is just as good as... before. I'm an Italian hoagie guy and I have to say one of, if not, best around. Also added some new appetizers (we got Mac andcheese bites) AMAZING! Finally made it to Jake's Pizza in Rostraver. After hearing such good things and the story of this place I was excited to get... some pizza. Was busy when we got there but everyone was working hard to get the food out as fast as they could. Awesome newowners, friendly staff and the pizza speaks for itself. Highly recommend. Read more

When you walk in, this place might creep you out with its child clown portraits on display and its clinical white walls that... take on a vaguely pink glow from all the sunlight bouncing off the red tables and window dressings, but this is definitely acase of never judge a book by its cover. This is a no frills, plain Jane establishment. They even have a sign proclaiming Jake?sintolerance for ?BS Social Media? (see attached pics), however, the food is really good. We ordered a 12? (medium) pepperonipizza and a ½ dozen wings with tangy (traditional buffalo) sauce. Wow!!! The pizza was thin with a crisp, crunchy crust and apleasingly sweet sauce. I prefer more cheese but this is not a deal breaker. The pepperonis were tasty and meaty, not greasy,with a nice char crunch on the rim of each slice. The wings were also very good with a wonderful fried crunchy exterior(possibly fried twice?) and hot soft inside. These were dang good wings! If I?m ever back in the area, I?d stop again, and that,after all, is the mark of any good establishment. Read more
