The food wasn?t bad, I felt the service was rude. I understand Carlyle area is on the down, but take some time to invest in the... right people. Most of the time food there is very good but this time it wasn't the best, service was excellent.
So pen station has been my go to sub place for awhile now. But this location (Carlyle ave) is terrible. Do not go. Ill share my... experience the last two times I went. First time I?m eating my sandwich I feel a hair in my mouth that?s not mine. Well I had toyank someone?s else?s hair out of my throat. It was pretty gross and pretty big. Next I go cause I?m thinking hey maybe they hada off day. I get a chicken Philly and I eat it. Maybe a hour later I?m running to the bathroom. I got food poisoning. That?sunacceptable. The employees there don?t care. They all have there headphones in including the manager. The person that took myorder is on a personal phone call while mid order. The place is dirty and gross. They obviously don?t care about cleanliness orthe customer. Like I said before don?t go. One I haven?t ever had a problem with is the pen station in Edwardsville. Read more
Friendly staff and the restaurant was clean. Sandwich actually looked like the ones on the posters.
I tried to call ahead to place an order, but the line was busy after calling like 3 times. I went through the drive thru to... place an order being that the phone was down, and I didn't want to come inside. The cashier was rude. I didn't get his namebecause he didn't have on uniform or a name tag. He was a young white male. He said I had to come inside, asked another workeroh did we turn the phones off....he didn't apologize or show any empathy. I said what if I had covid would you want me to comeinside...he then replied "I don't care, I won't get it." He was so unprofessional! Worst experience. This was a pretty good place. The bread they use is so good. But what was my favorite was there fries. Staff was very nice.
Jason and his guys run a tight ship and make a killer sandwich! Just tell them what you want and how you want it and they'll... take good care of you. Great food and great service! Will be back! Read more
