Went to this place for breakfast and after ordering a good sized COCKROACH crawled up the wall and right on the table. Not... scared of anything he stayed right there until I killed it. I told the waitress and she apologized. I got my salad to go afternot being hungry and ate the bacon because that was cooked at least. I was sad all I got was an apology. I?ve been here twice in the last three days, and both meals were net-positive dining experiences. On the first, my dad and I... popped in for lunch. I had a veggie skillet (a little bland, overall just okay) and the grilled biscuits (heavy and a littledry, but better with apple butter), and my dad had the fried cod (decent, some pieces a little over cooked). Today, on oursecond visit, I had lunch with both of my parents. I had the Reuben sandwich (excellent, as were the fries), my mom had eggs,sausage and hash browns (she cleaned her plate), and my dad, lamenting he never has room for dessert, ordered the carrot cake(about a 7.5/10 coming from a very solid carrot cake family). No one left hungry or unhappy. On both occasions, the service wasquick and pleasant, and the other diners (many of whom are obviously regulars) seemed to take pleasure in their meals. Theprices are reasonable, and the menu is extensive. In all, I?d encourage a visit, and you too might find yourself returning buttwo days later. Support local! Read more
