Honestly, I hate to give this place one star. I have many fond memories of going here even as a child. More often than not, bad... criticism is better than compliments when someone can receive it. I am posting this in hopes that things will change. Forstarters, I have driven by this place daily for years and wondered how can a restaurant that serves food be able to just ripsiding and a vapor barrier off and let it sit for years and years with snow and rain just having a good ol' time on the plywoodsheathing for the ice cream window. Granted, recently tyvek has been installed but not properly and lacking in places. This initself has forced me to not spend my money here. Today, my wife suggested we get chicken fingers and a small french fry. Thewebsite advertised $10 for the 7 piece chicken finger and $3 for a small french fry. I went in to pay after ordering over thephone and got a bill for $17.39. This price is a bit conflicting with the online pricing so I asked the manager and was told "ohyeah the website hasn't been updated in years" and asked if the price on the website would be honored and was almost laughed at.My next question was why have a website if you don't update it and I got basically no response. I just got my money back andwent elsewhere. Fun fact: The website informs patrons of being open during the 2022 season... So the website was updated but itwasn't? 10/10 won't return unless this place gets their act together. Read more
Fresh light crispy sweet tender crunchy delicious (Have I missed any adjectives?) whole belly fried clams. Not overly seasoned... so the tarter sauce perfectly complimented the clams. A perfect summer treat at a great place! Read more
OMG. And I do NOT type that lightly. My wife and I stopped here after looking for a quick spot for carryout. We got there and... there was a guy performing outside for the patrons. Pretty good too. The meal, hers were whole belly clams with fries and acombo plate, were so good. A lot of food and all of it excellent. It was so good we went back a couple days later for her toget clams and me fish & chips. My only regret was not having room for ice cream afterwards, as the scoops a were huge. Lots of great seafood choices. We would go back in a heartbeat. Eat inside or out, or take home. Very small inside, only... room to seat maybe 15 people. Absolutely delicious food. We had fish and chips, fish sandwich, clam chowder and seafoodplatter. Plenty of food, great , friendly service. Reasonable prices. Read more
5 stars because the service was amazing. The teens and employees running the show are the absolute sweetest. Ice cream was... absolutely delicious! If you love caramel as much as I do, then definitely try the Cowabunga Crunch. The lobster roll and friedshrimp platter were cooked perfectly but just okay flavour-wise. Not anything too spectacular, and I?d recommend addingsalt/pepper or dashing some of your own fave spice mix on there. I also appreciate the fact that the platters come with bothonion rings and french fries. Perfect for someone as indecisive as me! There are seats outside in a fenced area as well as someadditional seat options inside. All in all, worth the drive & I definitely will be back. Read more
Quick service, kids working there were nice. However we ordered a combo plate that I was told had haddock, scallops and clam... strips and that was not what we got. Instead we got home and had haddock and fried shrimp. Everything was very bland and kindagross. Fried pickles were okayish. We?re from Cali on vacation and we both had the clams and shrimp plates and they were delicious. The staff was very nice and... informative. The batter they use is light and tasteful. The ice cream is great as well. We?ll be back each day to try somethingdifferent before we leave. Read more
Great food, excellent service, and the staff know what they are doing. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially the... haddock plate. I used to go here all the time for ice-cream; I wish I stayed in MA, but alas, I left Rosewood behind. Read more
