Went there for a early evening snack and ordered the bltt. We sat outside and waited for our food. The waitress came out with... the food and look at us, and then another customer. She handed the food to the other guests and they unwrapped their sandwich.The waitress the grabbed another order and said someones name. The people that were just served looked over at the waitress.They conversed for a minute and the waitress came up to us. She handed us the already open food! We were incredibly upset andask for a refund. TLDR; the waitress was unsanitary. I hope the cashier is doing alright. Read more
I almost got Subway for lunch today, but I changed my mind and decided to drive a bit farther to Avenue Bread. I'm so happy I... did. This sandwich was amazing! The bread was soft, but still with a good chew, and all the other ingredients tasted so fresh.The pesto spread was generously applied, and the sprouts added such a good textural element. Read more
You sort of expect a basic sandwich on sourdough to be pretty tasty from a place with the word "Bread" right there in the name.... Unfortunately the sandwiches suffer from a pretty high bread-to-filling ratio, and the bread itself is on the dry side (maybe,even a little stale?) Maybe I've been ruined by Old World Deli using Breadfarm bread? The Eggenues are always a treat, though. Read more
I can highly recommend both the Reuben sandwich and the California chicken sandwich. Their cookies are good too! It can get a... little crowded because it's popular! Peek water views from the seating next to the windows. Read more
The best classic breakfast sandwich I have ever had in my life. I literally have never written a review for a place before and... felt compelled to do so because it was so good. Food was great! Their oven/stove was down for the day because of electrical issues. However, the staff was super helpful and... creative in how the hot sandwich can be made with cold alternatives. The ambiance was really nice as well! Will definitely makethis place a regular stop for work lunches!!:) Read more
The food is delicious, but there is a limited selection compared to the Avenue Bread on James St. the Fairhaven location is also... smaller and not as family-friendly. There are more older folks, and you have to get your own drinks and food at the counter. Thevibe felt snobby. Read more
I came in for BLT, in fact that's all I paid for; I left with a hefty bag full of baked goodies to share. Fairly understandably,... it left a good impression. I'm not saying it's in rare company for doing it, more that it completely won me over for howobviously ordinary a thing it was there. I also worked prep at a cafe supplied by them, you can trust I'm familiar with theirproduct. If you want to die happy do it via indigestion, and do it here :-) Read more
