It was a great dinner! We shared hush puppy and fried okra and it was delicious! Good drink options and great southern choices... for food! I had the shrimp pull-boy, and my husband had the seafood pasta! Read more
First time coming down to Bellingham from up north Canada since 2010 for my 6year anniversary and had the pleasure of being... seated in Garrell?s section, who was very engaging and lovely. Seeing as it was Tuesday night, service was also quite casual andrelaxed. It was a nice change of pace and exactly why we decided to leave the hustle bustle of the big city for the day. Foodwas great! There?s not a lot of options for southern food in Vancouver. The shrimp and grits was absolutely insane! So rich anddecadent, honestly between him and I we still had leftovers to take home. Highly recommend. We also ordered the oyster shooter,jambalaya and gumbo, and they were all good too, however the star was definitely the shrimp&grits. The frog legs were so tender, gumbo was amazing with so much flavor and the jambalaya was fantastic! We were stuffed halfway... through the jambalaya, they definitely did not hold back on the ingredients. Unfortunately that meant we'd have to save thebread pudding and beignets for next time. Had dinner here and couldn't be happier. All the food was cooked great. The special pork chop was awesome. Hush puppies weren't... burned or undercooked. All in all, I will definitely go again. Wait staff was on point, and the wait time for our food was veryquick, but not so fast that we couldn't enjoy appetizers. Read more

Very tasty and the portions were huge. It was our first time, so we decided to order a variety of dishes. The side of Fried Okra... and Popcorn shrimp were enough for 2 adults to share. There was no kids menu, but they did offer a side of Mac and Cheese thatleft out the spice. The cup of Gumbo was hearty and the Shrimp and Grits were creamy and delicious. The Beniets were a littledoughy and needed a little more flavor, but the kids enjoyed them. I will definitely revisit. Read more
