Very tasty and the portions were huge. It was our first time, so we decided to order a variety of dishes. The side of Fried Okra... and Popcorn shrimp were enough for 2 adults to share. There was no kids menu, but they did offer a side of Mac and Cheese thatleft out the spice. The cup of Gumbo was hearty and the Shrimp and Grits were creamy and delicious. The Beniets were a littledoughy and needed a little more flavor, but the kids enjoyed them. I will definitely revisit. Read more

It was a great dinner! We shared hush puppy and fried okra and it was delicious! Good drink options and great southern choices... for food! I had the shrimp pull-boy, and my husband had the seafood pasta! Read more

First time coming down to Bellingham from up north Canada since 2010 for my 6year anniversary and had the pleasure of being... seated in Garrell?s section, who was very engaging and lovely. Seeing as it was Tuesday night, service was also quite casual andrelaxed. It was a nice change of pace and exactly why we decided to leave the hustle bustle of the big city for the day. Foodwas great! There?s not a lot of options for southern food in Vancouver. The shrimp and grits was absolutely insane! So rich anddecadent, honestly between him and I we still had leftovers to take home. Highly recommend. We also ordered the oyster shooter, jambalaya and gumbo, and they were all good too, however the star was definitely the shrimp&grits. Cornbread is prob one of thebest I?ve ever tasted: so moist and delicious. Definitely will return in the future. Read more

The frog legs were so tender, gumbo was amazing with so much flavor and the jambalaya was fantastic! We were stuffed halfway... through the jambalaya, they definitely did not hold back on the ingredients. Unfortunately that meant we'd have to save thebread pudding and beignets for next time. There will definitely be a next time! Read more

Had dinner here and couldn't be happier. All the food was cooked great. The special pork chop was awesome. Hush puppies weren't... burned or undercooked. All in all, I will definitely go again. Wait staff was on point, and the wait time for our food was veryquick, but not so fast that we couldn't enjoy appetizers. Read more

Delicious food and great service! I had the blackened rockfish with red beans and rice, and my partner has the jambalaya. This... was my first time trying rockfish and it was delicious -- the seasoning was amazing and it was very well cooked. The red beansand rice were great, too, and the cornbread was so tasty!! My partner's jambalaya was great as well and had a very generousamount of shrimp in it!! Read more

After striking out at three places down the street, because they either required proof of vaccination cards (which was news to... us) or the outdoor seating was a 90+ minute wait, we (5 guys) stumbled across this place which sat us immediately outside. Wewere skeptical as they weren?t full, but man am I glad we ended up here. The waitress, while managing the outdoor area of 10+tables all to herself was clearly busy, she made sure we always had drinks and we didn?t wait longer than normal to order. Shehad a great attitude and was friendly too! The food though?so. Dang. Good. The frog legs are a must try. Juicy, tender, andgreat spice. Some of the best frog legs I?ve had since Louisiana. I had the shrimp and grits. It was soupier than traditional, but I didn?t mind because the flavor was outstanding. Garlicky, spicy, cheesy, and so much depth. The shrimp was well cooked andeverything worked so well together. Am so glad we ended up stumbling into this place and not the other over hyped places downthe street. Big recommendation from me.
