Reviews for The Temple Bar in Bellingham, WA
I love Bellingham, so perhaps everything I write about Bellingham glows. Yet, after avoiding Seattle bars because of the... closeness of the outdoor seating, we found an oasis at the Temple Bar in Bellingham. Sidewalk seating was constructed withtables separated be plywood walls with individual heaters, but safely open on the sides. A canopy overhead protects patrons fromthe rain. It was as Covid safe as possible. My martini couldn't arrive soon enough, and it was delicious. After not havinganything to drink for weeks, by my third martini I loved everybody and everything, including Bellingham. Becka was our fun andengaging server, and she only enhanced our experience. Becka served us a warm blue cheese dip with some great chips. Monday, restaurants and bars in Washington can allow 25% capacity inside their establishments. The Temple Bar will be even more fun andmore comfortable. I can't wait for my next visit to Bellingham. Read more

What a find!!! I love a great cocktail and that is what you'll find at Temple. You won't find a Rum & Coke, a Daiquiri or an... Old Fashioned, but you will find complex, boozy, creative cocktails that you've never heard of with ingredients that you may noteven be able to pronounce. The results are awesome! I can't wait to get back to check a few more off their menu. Did Imention the dessert? We had a Chocolate Truffle cake that was so incredible! They probably shouldn't even call it cake. It'smore like a wedge of Godiva truffle filling. I shared the piece and probably only needed half of the slice between both of us. So rich, so dense, perfectly sweet. And only SIX bucks!!! A great experience!!! Read more
Cozy, intimate even, with a relaxed pace. I am not usually in the mood for cocktails, but when that mood strikes, a spot like... this is perfect! (They also have draft craft beers and a curated wine list.) We sipped on ?I Would Dai for You? & ?Night on theSun?. Focused flavors executed with balance and subtle flair...and so pretty. As for food, the menu is not huge but full ofdelicious yummies. We had goat cheese toast, savory puff pastry pies, and brie grilled cheese with ham. Everything tasted sofresh and clean, as I?ve come to expect from the best places in town. Will definitely return to sample more of the intriguingcocktails. Read more

Amazing food out of a postage stamp kitchen! There is a lack of space and equipment in the tiny kitchen, but the food is... fabulous. We had the roasted cauliflower, hot stuffed dates, spiced lamb meatballs, and beet salad. It's hard to believe thatthe chef made these delicious items with not much more than a soup tureen and a toaster oven. The cocktails were tasty, too. Read more
Literally my favorite bar I've ever been to. The rotating, seasonal, mostly locally sourced cocktail menu is amazing. I have... never had a drink I didn't love. Their food menu is creative, rich, and uses a ton of locally sourced ingredients, and theirhappy hour specials are a fantastic value. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I make this place a priorityevery time I visit. Read more
