Staff are very great, on the ball and the poutine is to die for. My personal favorite place for icecream too

To be fair this rating is based on our experience going for icecream and not their food as we didn't have any so I can't rate... it. Honestly, I used to love going to Chez Jean as a kid and getting their deep fried ice cream. I have been away for manyyears and was back in the area so I thought I would take my daughter and wife so they could try it only to find out they stoppedmaking it years ago which was very disappointing. I was told this is primarily due to the labour intensive process to makeit. It seems like they are focused more on quick and easy things to make now like soft serve icecream as they have flavourbursts (I believe they called it this). This is essentially flavored sugar laced around the icecream which my daughter (wholoves sweet things) felt was too sweet which is not normal. My overall feeling is that this place is not the same as it waswhen I was a kid. It's not that it is a bad place, but if you knew Chez Jean 20 years ago it doesn't have the same feel to it.It was okay, but has lost its edge that made it stand out. If I stop in again, it would be to try their food but it is now justan average icecream place no different than anywhere else (sadly). Read more

Not bad for a bite, but its very expensive, and doesnt have much for comfortable seating or decor. Service was good, and ice... cream was amazing, but the food feels like it underdelivers for the price, if proces were 20% lower on some items this would bea 10/10 Read more

My Fiancé took me to his favorite childhood place to eat. I'm from Toronto Ontario and I will say these tenders and fries are... by far the most delicious and FRESH meal ever! Extremely delicious paired with their coleslaw is just amazing! I cannot wait tocome back to Chez Jean . I promise you guys this place is a must try If you're out of town gal like me! Read more

Good fast food at reasonable prices. Food is fresh and very enjoyable. Ice cream also good! It will be on our regular list for... sure. Also view from dining area is quite magnificent and also close to ocean front park to eat outside. Read more
