Best paella I’ve ever had! Granted I am not an expert, but the food was amazing. We came late and someone who I believe was... the owner offered to order for us in order for the food to come out fast enough for the next reservation. His tapas choices?Amazing. The bien me sabe was fantastic, as was the stuffed squid. The paella was just the right amount of moist and all theseafood was amazingly cooked. Bonus points for the best sangria I’ve ever had. It was a little rushed so no more photos, butthe food was absolutely good enough to have been worth it. They automatically add 20% gratuity, which is much simpler thanfiguring out how much to tip. Get a few tapas to enjoy as you wait for your Paella to get done is the KEY. Bacon wrapped dates was a pleasant surprise for us.... Fried anything is good here - warm and fresh if you get seafood (as they should be at a Spanish restaurant haha). The smallPaella was huge - maybe ideal for 3+ people. The environment in the restaurant is very nice. The owner is a very friendly, he share with us the history about Spain and also... tapas. The only reason I gave three star it’s probably just my personal preference. I am not a huge fan of Spain food. And onthe menu it says Prawns, on the table I see shrimps. This is a very friendly place. I wasn't very hungry, so I ate at the bar. They have a great tapas menu. I ordered sardinas,... mackerel escabeche, and huevos rellenos. The flavors were authentic and well balanced, maybe a little much aioli than I prefer,but that is more of a personal preference. One of the best parts of the meal was conversing with the owner who taught me somecooking techniques, Spanish etymologies of words, and we even talked a little about Hemingway. I can't wait to go again. Thisis a small place, but it is a gem. I'd make sure you have reservations if you don't wait to wait. Read more
