This was a real treat after spending part of Mother's Day at the nearby Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens! We heard good things... about the food, and we were not disappointed! The service was amazing. Fast, friendly and seriously not being cliché ???? Wehad our orders within 8-10 minutes as pictured for our party of four. The environment is a true family friendly pub in the heartof downtown Belmont. Bring the family, enjoy a great meal, and walk around the small uptown city on a sunny day and make anafternoon out of it. Great job to the management for making it a well run operation. ???? We came here on Sunday night at around 7:30, restaurant was not that busy (pictured above), however it took waitstaff over 35... minutes to acknowledge us! Both women were having full on conversations with other tables and didn?t even look our way (maybethey didn?t know they were assigned our table, how were the hostess said she would send our waitress over as soon as we wereseated). No water, no drinks, nothing for over 30 minutes. When we finally did flag down a hostess it took another 5 for ourwaitress to come over, and not an apology or acknowledgement or anything. Food was good, but they messed up the beer and forworry of never getting out of there we didn?t fix it. I wouldn?t come back ever for the service. I?ve heard about Sammy?s before and have only heard good things. Tried it for the first time yesterday for lunch and was not... disappointed. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. The Buffalo sauce had wonderful flavor and the bleu cheese crumbles were theperfect addition. The Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, which is the only way for it to be made in my opinion. I?lldefinitely be back to try more of their menu. If you are coming for lunch, I recommend getting their a little bit before noon asit started to get quite crowded while we were there. Read more
Went out for dinner here at Sammy's Neighborhood pub! It was a bad Night I guess The place is old pub style sticky tables and... dark decor It was definitely old. The staff was slow to come to the table and get anything going We ordered the southwest eggrolls The were lacking in filling two of the 4 were hollow inside. Not a good start. I ordered the BBQ plate with Cole slaw andbeans. It was not good at all the Cole slaw was vary wet soaked all my bbq with white juice hush puppies were soggie from theCole slaw. The beans were sub par not great. the BBQ was dry not much taste. I did not care for the sauce. we also ordered theSteak sandwich and tater tots. It was rough to say the least the tomatoes were soft and the lettuce was old like been out for awhile We did not finish and food we left hungry and disappointed.
