First timer: the service was fast and the food was fantastic. Lady at register was nice and she suggested the platter with a... trio of meats. Best choice ever. Nice and clean place. We felt welcomed as soon as we stepped in the front door. We are unfamiliar with most Greek foods. The man... working the counter patiently explained the dishes to us. We ended up getting the Big Fat Gyro and the Greek meatballs. Bothwere very flavorful and nice sized portions. We're planning to return and try more of their menu items. This is a small place with great food. The staff are friendly and polite. We got 1. Lamb Gyro (5/5) if you are debating what to... get, Just go for it. The meat was tender with lot of fresh veggies and the pita was very soft. 2. Yia Yia?s famous pork Gyro(4/5) it?s on the heavier side with fries. The pork was chunkier and chewier but it was good. My favorite local restaurant. Everything they make is top notch, and absolutely delicious. Even their presentation is very nice.... You are unlikely to find a better local Greek restaurant unless you venture to downtown DC and spend quadruple the $. Authentic,fresh, vibrant, and just plain fun. Read more
Really solid greek food. I'd definitely come back. Ended up getting a smattering of foods to try here: -Greek Green Beans... ($4.75) -Spanakopita ($8) -Calamari ($10) -Yia Yia's Famous Pork Gyro Stuffed with Fries ($8.50) -Dolmas Everything wasdelicious and fresh. Very reasonably priced. We've been looking for a place with gyros that make you take a bite and sit there with joy and well this is that place for us... now.
