Our waiter was Sam and it was his first day. We had already been to 2 restaurants on thos particular day. One had a large party... and was closed to the public, the other we waited for 20 minutes for a server to come to our table while listening to 2 old guysyell about phone service in the building before we got up and walked out. Sam was awesome! He was very attentive, making sureour drinks were full and we had everything we needed. My wife received the wrong dish (kitchen's mistake) and it was quicklycorrected. I love waffles and this is my go to place for breakfast before my Sunday work shift. I can get in at 6 am and out by 6:35 and be... on time. Efficient, friendly staff, large menu, and ample seating. Even during a rush the wait isnt very long. I love sitting atthe counter! Yes they still have a counter for singles where you can people watch. Dinner menu has several delicious home styledishes, theres a nice salad bar with soups. Hamburger specials on Tuesdays. Dessert options for a short stop of sweets andcoffee. Read more
Lovely service from a bunch of lovely ladies. I went there on Friday evening 8-12 for some take out and I was quickly... accommodated and my food came out 15 minutes later just like they said it would. It was very good service with a smile from allI encountered there. I went there because Perkins down the road wouldn't even take my order because they were "too busy" theysaid. And tbh Perkins really didn't look busy at all. Well all I know now is that I will be going to Country Kitchen first fromnow on when I need some non fast non bar restaurant food. Just got back home with my pick up order for me and my husband and my husbands meal plus the appetizer were terrible, my husband... took two bites and had to throw it away, the patty looks like it was peeled off the burner, a layer of completely burnt, cheesewasn?t melted, bun was smashed and soggy, and his cheesy bacon fries were just covered in huge 1in pieces of bacon fat, noactual bacon meat. As if we just got the trimmings thrown in. The fried pickles were very bland and they also forgot the creamygarlic dip that was supposed to come with them. Absolutely horrible!!! Breakfast gravy wasn't on there to begin with and it comes back with the sausage torn into pieces on top... of the biscuit. You could tell it was torn by hand. The other is supposed to be a burger. Came on regular bread all ground upwith huge slices of onion hanging off. Read more
The food was great. Our waitress was the best we've had in quite some time. Atmosphere was comfortable and cozy.
