Even without a reservation the three of us where able to get a seat without a wait. The food was great, portions are of good... size. I was under the impression that they would have sushi as that is what it was listed under on google maps. No sushi butgood kitchen cooked food. Defiantly have a good bar and selection none of us drank, had we wanted to this would have been agreat place. Read more

Despite being short on staff, they still hit it out of the ballpark. We had a wonderful dinner, sitting outside where it was... quite peaceful. We had ramen, and the pan- seared salmon. So delicious. We also had a Japanese whiskey and their saltedcaramel white Russian. Again, absolutely amazing! Lovely staff. Great evening. So glad we stopped in. Looking forward toreturning again in the future. We spent our honeymoon in Bend and went to a few restaurants. Chomp Chomp was by far the best one! We went on a Friday evening... and grabbed a reservation an hour prior. Most other higher end restaurants already had completely full reservations. Was quitebusy and seemed like you'd need some kind of heads up in order to dine. The food was absolutely delicious! Fries were cookedall the way through and crispy. Not a single soggy fry! I ordered the Hiroshima-fuu and it was an incredibly unique flavorfuldish! Highly recommended. We ate outside and there were 3 passerbyers that asked me "What is it you're eating? It looksdelicious" It was quite a heavy dish and doesn't need any more additional sauce. Would definitely recommend splitting it withsomeone if you can as the sauce makes it quite hard to take as a leftover. Now that I've returned from my honeymoon I findmyself in a Japanese market trying to find the right ingredients to make this dish at home! Read more

Really enjoyed our dinner. We wanted to try dishes Unique to the restaurant since we eat Japanese all the time and have been... bored for so long. Had to try their chomp fuu hiroshima fuu and was glad I did. The favorite of the night was the appetizer ofchomp house cheese dip which I wish I could get the recipe to and make at home it was so good that I would actually make cheesedip at home for friends and family if I could impress them with this. My partner was a fan of the almighty gyudon. The cocktailmenu at the restaurant was different than the one online so I can?t post which we had but they were delicious. Staff was ultrafriendly. It was the end of the night and the restaurant wasn?t full so it was loud inside so they were happy to let us eatoutside even though they were starting to break down the patio area on the sidewalk. Came to Oregon Bend and eating dinner with husband at Chomp Chomp. We wanted to eat Japanese food and first time here. We... ordered Hiroshima fuu Okonomiyaki, Our ramen and one night in Bangkok Cocktail. The woman who served us here was very charmingand kind and made us happy. Okonomiyaki was easy taste. I wished more veggies and use Hiroshima Okonomiyaki sauce "Otafuku".Ramen also easy taste. Also one night in Bangkok Cocktail is so good! Love that taste of hot spice. I enjoyed food and cocktailand nice conversation with restaurant staff. Read more

Our server Haeli was beyond awesome. She brought out a tray of sauces for us to taste and was very attentive. The Ramen &... Hiroshima-fuu was so flavorful and delicious. The cucumber salad was prefect. And the chicken bits with all the yummy sauces hitthe spot. Read more

Walking in it is a cool dark atmosphere that has a hip flare. Service was great and was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. Small... menu of ramen like dishes with a couple NW items like burgers. Food was underwhelming though. The ramen and gyudon dishes had noreal flavor and were overall bland. The burgers were good, but it was a burger. Prices for both food and drink were on theupscale side, but quality was lacking. I want to try again to see if it was just an off night. Lots of great stuff going on, yetsomething was missing.
