Disabled Band of Brothers Veterans NOT welcome! These two gentlemen are patients of mine. It had been a great day and I was... treating them to an evening out, away from the facility. One is Navy Veteran of Korea and the other is Bronze Star recipient ofViet Nam (Army). It was a special day for these two and they chose to go out for Chinese food. Upon arrival and one by one,(Could only fit the 1 wheelchair in the car) brought the men into the restaurant. The man was on the phone, the woman andyounger man just standing around at the back of the restaurant. None of them offered to hold the door, while I struggled withit and the wheelchair. A waiting take-out order customer was kind enough to help me out with the door. Once seated, we waited5 minutes before anyone would even acknowledge us (the place was empty), much less bring water and menus. Not even 60 secondsafter getting the menus, the lady started barking at us, over and over, ?you ready? ? you ready? ? you order now!?. I asked hercould we have a minute to actually READ the menu? I couldn?t believe what she said next: ?you bad attitude!? Excuse me? Thatwas the final straw. It was quite apparent to me, they do NOT WANT DINE-IN Customers ? only take out. This was obvious by herbeing so rude and commenting with a racial slur, to the other staffer in her native language. That was it! Orange chicken: great (maybe one of the best I?ve had; loved the crunchiness and flavor) Beef broccoli: good Noodles: good Fried... rice: hard and dry Pricing was HIGH? but the portions were big. Update 5/22. Still good. Prices are a little higher as expected. Service still good. Surprisingly good Chinese food. Freshly... prepared and neatly organized. Clean throughout and family friendly. Full bar with beer and cocktails. Service was great andfriendly. Prices are a little high, but you get tons of food. They also deliver. I'll eat here anytime I'm in the mood for goodChinese food.. We have always had great service and food at Double Happiness. While their prices have gone up, they have a huge menu selection.... We ordered the combination chicken, shrimp, and veggie dish and split it for a late lunch. It was plenty of delicious food, andthe service was friendly and prompt. We miss living in Bend, but go there when we can. Thank you for being there as so manyplaces have changed hands recently. Read more

Avoid this restaurant! I called in an order and got cut off from the man taking the order before I got the total. My husband... nearly had a heart attack when he walked into pick up! 51$ I only ordered 2 entries and a side of pot stickers. I jokingly toldmy husband it would be the best Chinese he?s ever eaten and he?s be double happy. Unfortunately it was double bad and double thecost of most. Pot stickers tasted freezer burned and old, breaded chicken tasted pre made and old. Rice was dry and hard, andveggie fry dish was swimming and in oil. We will never waste 51$ on this place again.
