This place was the perfect spot, after a long day of driving. Not only was the food spectacular, but the service was... exceptional, and genuine. We ordered several things, and shared them around the table...crab cakes, shrimp cocktail, Caesarsalad, bistro salad, scallops, salmon, key lime cheesecake, and of course a couple of cocktails and wine. It is not very oftenthat we can leave a restaurant these days, and rave about every item...but, that was exactly what we did on our way back to theresort. And, every delicious item was made even better by the thoughtful diligent service of the entire team, but especiallyour waitress Arwin. She is a rare gem, and so is this restaurant! Read more

Very good food, even better wine list (and good value). Menu selection is limited, so picky eaters may find it hard to find... something in their interest, very hard for a vegetarian (one choice). Nice ambiance and service - casual yet classy. Read more

Friendly service but sort of slow and absent, cozy patio and fresh food that falls shy on flavor but big on price. Ordered a... variety of items: steak tartare, chilled tomato soup, halibut, rack of lamb, crab cakes, flourless cake, gin sour, gin blueberrysparkler, Manhattan, champagne and cosmo. Favorites were the soup, gin sour and cosmo. Halibut was a creative take with asouthern spin that fell short on flavor. The lamb ribs were good but the bourbon sauce didn’t come through & they were greasy. The crab cake was a nice flavor but small. The soup was refreshing and not too rich. The flourless cake disappointed. Ordereda glass of champagne and came out in the little bottle with a blue label (not what we expected for $$$) All the staff weresuper friendly and we loved the dog friendly patio. We are happy we tried this place but for just shy of $300 we won’treturn. Read more

Celebrated two birthdays and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and service. Met the owner who was also our server. She is wonderful... and did everything to make sure we had a stellar experience. She took her time with us and it was a pleasure talking to her. Thefood was outstanding, halibut for me and the salmon for my friend. We both had drinks, shared an appetizer and dessert. Theprice was reasonable for the quality. We will most certainly be back! Read more

We had a delicious meal the other evening, but that's not what this review is about. This review is for the incredibly... thoughtful and caring service we received from EVERY team member at the Bistro. And that extended from our server Culley down tothe youngest members of the crew - Rome, Hannah, Sierra and Caitlyn. If I missed someone, I apologize! Each of you made ouranniversary one to remember! What was so great? It's not often you see employees of a business behave as if they truly carethat you are there. I had made a special request of the owner when making our reservations. She not only honored the requestwith enthusiasm, she stepped it up a couple of significant notches! What she did cost time, effort, and money. When we arrivedfor dinner her crew went into action and made our dinner one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. If you like greatfood, and want to be treated special, you need to try South Bend Bistro! Read more
