Such lovely people and fantastically tasty food here at the Taj Palace! We’ve been coming to this family-owned restaurant for... all our years and Bend/Redmond and are never disappointed. It’s such a great improvement on many levels that they are now in amore spacious, light filled location next to Walmart on the south side of town. Parking is plentiful! So is the Buffett! We camein today dreaming of our favorite simple and scrumptious meal – the curried potato dosas, with sambar soup and chutneys, butinstead couldn’t resist the Buffet. We hadn’t had it for some years and it looked phenomenal. We were not disappointed! TajPalace is nearing their 20 year anniversary and just keeps getting Better—we highly recommend this friendly place.???????????????????? Read more

Well it's definitely a different experience for me. Never tried Indian food before. Everyone there. Including our group Loved... it. For me though it was the spices and cooler of the food. But that's just the culture and seasoning used. Or it could havesimply been the buffet. I've found more that's then often so you can buffets are not as good as ordering from the menu. ThinkI'll try that next time. It's reasonably priced. The place is clean. And the staff are helpful and friendly. We will try again. But so far not impressed at all with the buffet. So next time we will choose from the menu. Read more

We are thrilled Taj has relocated to the southeast side of bend. We’ve been twice in the past week. Looking forward to many... more delicious culinary adventures here. The hospitality is refreshingly pleasant and friendly as well as skilled in the art ofexcellent service. And, the variety of their menu is impressive. We’ve had both the lunch buffet and ordered off the menu.Friday and Saturday is the dinner buffet. I know what I’m doing this weekend!! If you didn’t get a chance to enjoy theirdelicious exotic food and good company downtown (there’s now plenty of off street parking in their lot!!!), now is your chanceto discover these fine people and the cuisine. If you did, you know. Support local???? *Saturday night dinner buffet. Wow!!!! I could not try everything. I mentioned how varied the choices are to one of the staff, and he smiled and informed me that theentrees change every weekend! My oh my I have a lot of ground to cover here. The parking lot was packed, but there’s plenty, restaurant was very busy at 6:00, and still a few booths available so there’s lots of room here. I watched as walk-ins of 5,7, 10 were quickly seated. Staff greeted patrons and 90% of customers were repeat patrons and treated like family. It’s sonice to see this kind of hospitality. Food was deeeeeeeelishiussss. They also have a bustling take out. Doesn’t that soundawesome???? I’ll try this next. So far I have only wonderful things to say about Taj Palace. Consistently a delightfulexperience. Read more

My husband and I have been to Taj Palace Indian Cuisine twice, and we left the restaurant highly impressed both times. One... thing that has stood out to me most on both of our visits is how attentive and kind the wait staff are. We have not been leftwithout a refill long at all, and the food comes out actually hot, rather than it sitting in the heating window for any lengthof time. On our last visit, we ordered the mixed vegetable pakora as our appetizer (picture included). The dish was flavorfulenough on its own and so crispy, but the three sauces they provided really blew it out of the wayer. Delicious! Both of usordered Thali Dinners: I chose the Lamb Kurma (picture attached) and my husband decided on the Lamb Biryani. They bring you ahefty amount of food with the dinners; both of us had leftovers that we took home. The dinners also came with a little mangodessert that was the perfect end to the meal. Prices were quite reasonable. We both had an alcoholic beverage a piece as well, and our total (with tip) came to around $60. Not bad! Definitely stop in for a meal if you're ever in the area! Lovely place, wonderful people, and really delicious food. We were searching for a place to eat as places in Bend seemingly... closed earlier than we expected (~8-9), and while some places turned us away even with 45+ minutes remaining in their hours, TajPalace welcomed us graciously, treated us kindly, and fed us well. Food was excellent. The Chicken Tikka Masala was the star, and really blew our socks off. Really rich and deep flavor. Read more
