I think the only way to describe the awesomeness that is this place is that it makes you forget that you are in Bennington. Food... is dope. Drinks are slamming. Room has the chillest vibe. Staff are super chill. I saw a dog. What?s not to like? Had the OldFashioned, some dank poutine and a double chicken and waffles. It f$&@s so hard. Highly recommended. Read more

Great addition to the town. Beautiful place with great food options and delicious cocktails. The Pineapple Express cocktail went... down like juice. The grown up grilled cheese was very good, but also incredibly filling. The Bonfire was my favorite of thealcohol we tried. We took home a couple of bottles! Read more
With decent food, terrific cocktails, and a wider range of dishes than anywhere else in Bennington, Village Garage Servicenter... qualifies as an essential stop when you visit. A beautifully converted municipal vehicle depot, Village Garage sits near thecenter of town, and it\'s exactly what it\'s needed. The service is warm, knowledgeable, and attentive, the interior gorgeous.The distillery works is viewable from the dining area -- next visit we\'re going for the tour. We\'ve been road tripping through Vermont for about a week. This was hands down the greatest hidden gem we encountered! The... decor, ambiance, food and drink were levels beyond! I\'ve had the bourbon, rye, and vodka. They\'re each my new favorites. Fromappetizers to desserts we were floored. Bacon maple ice cream brownies, omg! Enjoyed a delicious meal and the great environment at one of the newest eateries in town! We made reservations via the website... (and even were able to adjust them with ease) and were promptly greeted by Alex when we arrived. Our waitress Jaime wasattentive and explained the menu offerings, including some top notch recommendations. Pip and Adam were behind the bar and madethe libations to perfection. The kitchen crew delivered our meals as ordered, all so fresh and savory! Had one of those days where you\'re exhausted, starving, don\'t want to cook but leary to try something new. Very glad we made... the choice to check the place out. Decor is amazing. Simple yet beautiful. Small dining area so can see how it could quicklyfill up. The gentleman who greeted us at the door was hilarious and made sure we got the best seat in the house (we were theonly ones there at the time for food).\nServer was quick to come and get our drink orders and then food. Food arrived quicklyand appetizer and meals were spaced perfectly from a timing standpoint.\nPoutine. Get. The. Poutine. Large. Don\'t share. Iregret sharing. Should have included something in my wedding vows about not having to share poutine.\nGot the BLT for my meal.Fries were hot and crispy. Pork belly was amazing. I took a strip off my sandwich and ate it by itself. Sandwich was perfectand reheated well since I couldn\'t finish it all (I blame the poutine).\nMy husband got the chicken and waffles.
