For some reason, they had hot sauce in the syrup which was gross. Ruined my waffles and chicken. I guess they reused a cup that... had hot sauce in it? I?ve never heard of spicy syrup. Anyway, Dumped it in the trash. Chicken also seemed like it was very old.Not good at all. Disappointed because diner has good reviews. UPDATE: added couple stars because I didn't realize the syrup wasintentional and I also had a normal syrup in the bag. But it would be nice if they explained the signature syrup first so Ididn't pour it over over the waffles and chicken. Anyway, thank you for following up with that explanation. Read more
We enjoyed our first time at this East Coast chain. I tried the Charleston Shrimp & Grits while my husband had fish and chips.... Really nice place to have breakfast. Use to drive by all the time heading to the casino and finally stopped in. All the... employees are smiling. I mean like they enjoy being there and that creates a welcoming feel. It's contagious. Prices were great.The food came out on time and hot. The coffee wasn't the best but that's minor. Great food, great people and a great price. Sunday lunch is very busy but my order was right, hot and delicious.
The food is just mediocre/amateur. Not great by any means. I have come here 10 times now because out of hunger and trying to... find a clean diner we go to this one. But honestly I'm putting the shrimp and grits in my mouth right now and I just want tothrow it away. I won't be come ever Again honestly. During my visit the waiter was attentive and helpful. The portions matchhow much u have to pay. However the taste makes you want a refund. I've tried a different dish every time and it still doesn'thelp. Parking is plenty and this time we asked for the check which is refreshing that they don't put it on the table when ujust get your food. If you're hungry, don't go to this because you might leave full but you'll regret it because of how muchyou gotta pay for a meal you could've cooked better at home. Read more
