Wow Scoobys has got to be one of the greatest hot dog places in my area. Every time I walk in there I get the aroma of French... fries in the air. I never know what to order but I usually get a beef and cheese. But their Chicago hot dogs are delicious too.Wash it down with a green river and you might not want to eat again for days. Read more
DO NOT ORDER AHEAD OR YOU WILL BE SORRY! I have 45 minutes for lunch... ORDERED AHEAD AND TOLD READY IN 10 MINUTES. GOT THERE... IN 10 MINUTES BUT STILL HAD TO WAIT 15 MINUTES IN LINE TO GET TO THE REGISTER TO PICK UP MY ORDER.... But if that were notenough, THEY DID NOT HAVE MY FULL ORDER READY! Don't order ahead for lunch here, they have zero consideration for your limitedtime to pick up lunch. The food may be delicious; but not worth a 25 minute investment in time when you have to work on alimited lunch break. If they had any consideration whatsoever, they would have a pick up area or, at the very least, shout out"Any Pick-Ups" from the register like more organized take out places do. I had a chicken bacon ranch sandwich here on my last visit to Chicago, it was great and the service was so good that I decided... to return on this trip. I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries and order two hot dogs for later . They did not disappoint!!! Ihighly recommend this place! I've lived in the area over thirty years and this place definitely must have changed owners again, it has a number of times... throughout the years. I went in last Saturday I asked for the usual two hot dogs fries well-done everything on it. A gentlemantold another fella to put the fries that were already cooked back in the oil in Spanish. Everybody speak Spanish now! I'veworked in the restaurant industry before and everybody knows when a fry is already cooked and they put it back in the oil whathappened to it it was awful and because of this I don't think I'm ever going back to Scooby's! Absolutely amazing. It?s a mile from my hotel by the airport and this was a gem of a find. Warm inviting atmosphere. Very... small place but the food is cooked to order. Tons of fries and friendly staff. Can not wait to return from Seattle to eat hereagain. My fiancé and two friends were ecstatic about my find. Read more
