I went through the drive-thru to get lunch on a road trip. Due to it being the lunch hour the line was kinda slow, but the guy... at the window was very friendly. My mother-in-law and daughters ate supper here. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean! The staff was very friendly and... accommodating. The food was delicious. Once upon a time, this was my favorite chicken place, but times have definitely changed. I've noticed a slow decline in the... quality of food and service over the past couple of years, but as of my last visit it has gotten pretty bad. The exterior lightswere completely off/non-existent, leading us to question whether they were open or not (even though we were there not quitethree hours before the posted closing time). The prices have jumped substantially; what used to be a roughly $40-45 meal for thefamily has increased to over $60 for less food (25 tenders and two large sides). The service was rushed and inattentive. Theywere out of numerous sauces. They left items out of our order. The packaging (which has always been haphazard) was severelylackluster now, as they packed our mashed potatoes and gravy into drink cups (which are much thinner styrofoam and, with drinklids, have straw holes at the top creating a messy situation). The okra was old (as has been the case the last few times). Thechicken "tenders" varied from ball-like lumps of undercooked chicken consisting largely of under-done breading on the inside totiny pieces of chicken roughly the size of the end of my thumb. A hefty price to pay for subpar food. Sadly, I can no longerrecommend this location and advise all to stick to other franchises if possible. Read more

Chicken seemed like a mix between Long-John Silver's and Church's flavor wise. I liked it for a quick, no-frills chicken stop on... road-trips. Lost of fried sides, and the sweet tea was great. Read more
This is the second time I've been given old chicken. And when I say old I mean old. Dry. Old. And gross I hate that because this... was my favorite chicken express. Last time I was given poor customer service and let it slide. This time I can't. I was alsogiven "fresh" cooked okra that tasted awful. I was giving it a second chance but it isn't worth the drive to go back. It sucksand I'm bummed out. Hopefully it'll get better but doubt I'm going back. Read more
The place is great, I always get decent food, and the young woman that waited on me was fantastic. I love chicken express,... because you can get items like deep fried chicken livers and gizzards, and you just can't get that at any other fast food placesthat I am aware of, so kudos to chicken express.. Dining room was closed. Didn't enjoy eating in my car in the rain too much. Next time I'll stop somewhere else. The sign off... I-30 was extremely misleading and it took me ten minutes to find the restaurant. Food was fine, but the effort was excessive,only to sit in my car to eat. Read more
