I can't begin to express my frustration with this place. My companion and I have attempted to get food here over a dozen times... over the past year. But they are never, ever open -- or at least that's the impression we are given. Or one time, we made apoint of arriving so early in the day, they couldn't possibly be closed, but no -- they were not serving the general publicbecause they had an event to cater. Fortunately, there is Arriba! Taqueria close by and they have never let us down or closedearly. The one time the stars aligned and we actually got to place an order, the food was astoundingly good. Had it not been,we would have given up long ago. But today was especially maddening, as I made a point of calling ahead this afternoon to checkwhen they closed. "We close at 8 PM," I was told. I asked again, three times to clarify. But even then, I didn't quite believeit, and made sure my guests -- who had traveled all the way from Elkhart -- and I had wrapped up our day's activities in time.We arrived at 6:45 PM, but no luck. The shop was closed. Posted on the window -- but notably, NOT on the website, which does notlist a closing time at all -- was a closing time of 7 PM. Fifteen minutes from the time we arrived. Look, I get it --restaurants are having a hard go of it. They are struggling to keep staff and the ones they have are often unreliable. But thiswas not a one time occurrence. This happens again and again. Were it not for the reliable Arriba! Taqueria next door, we wouldprobably never bother again. But this is no way to run a railroad. It's embarrassing to plan an outing with people, callingahead to places to make sure all of the various aspects of the day will work out, and then because your dinner spot is closedunexpectedly, you have to get everyone on board with a new plan quick. Really great food. Finally smoked meats that aren't all dried out. The wings are so very good. We sampled a lot of their menu... and it's all good. We ate at the food truck parked at Municipal Brew Works. Great beer with great food. Read more
