In our ongoing goal of trying local restaurants in the area, tonight we tried the Berea depot. Upon pulling into the Parking... lot, you can see it is architecturally very interesting. It is a registered historical site and the interior and exterior justbegs to explore. We arrived around 4:30pm and were seated immediately. The section we sat in, we were alone initially but soonfilled in with several more people soon after. Where we were seated and an excellent view of the train tracks that run parallelto the restaurant and each time a train passed by, several of the surrounding tables had children jump on chairs to marvel atthe passing trains. Service was excellent, our waitress stayed on top of our beverages and refills and was by the table oftenwithout being overbearing. Food wise, for an appetizer, we ordered the Tempura fried mozzarella moons. They came out quicklyand were clearly prepared and made in-house. They were stuffed with cheese and were quite tasty. The marinara sauce was alsoquite good but as a forewarning, the sauce is cold/cool so it contrasts against the hot wedges. For our main course, I got theturkey Cobb salad and a baked potato on the side. My wife got the short rib melt with fries. The Cobb salad was decentlyproportional for the price, the plating was well done and everything was as expected for a good turkey Cobb. Had the houseItalian and that paired very well with the salad. The baked potato was perfectly done and exactly what I was looking for in aplain baked potato. The short rib melt was quite delicious as well. The onions were cooked expertly and the meat was wellseasoned and flavorful. The fries were seasoned well and were great. For dessert, we got an order of cheesecake which wasserved with a few dollops of whipped cream and a raspberry drizzle. Cheesecake was a decent size and was good. All in all itwas a great experience and will be a place we will come back to in The future for sure. Read more

Good food in a an incredible atmosphere. The pierogis were the best I have ever had and the fried perch sandwich was great too.... The bar area is beautiful and worth visiting. The trains are fun to see going by too! It was a bit chilly in the dining roomso dress warm. Read more

Food was amazing. The staff was the absolute best i have ever encountered in a restaurant. Bree, our server, was not only very... attentive, we never had to ask for anything, but also very personable. Also every server who walked past our table, asked if weneeded anything. I was very impressed with the quality and teamwork this staff has. This also includes the kitchen. Food wasbrought out quickly and hot, and was outstanding from the crab dip to the short rib melt. I will be coming here often, andbringing friends and family. Thank you Berea Depot, for a A+ dining experience. Read more

I really liked it here! I was excited to go here for the unique environment. Our server was hospitable and food arrived... promptly, warm and well-presented, and more importantly, tasty! The burger was perfect; if I hadn?t ate the appetizers(mozzarella moons), I surely would?ve downed the whole thing! I am so glad to have gone here; it felt cozy and comfortable, withthe decorations and fixtures. Regulars stop by, and while this was our first time, I?d certainly come back. Read more

One of my favorite places to go with friends. Love sitting by the windows close to the train tracks. It?s entertaining watching... the trains go by while waiting for your food. The food is good, I have had their cheeseburgers, Tempura Mozzarella trianglesetc. Guest had steak that they were impressed how good they taste. The drinks are reasonably priced. Read more
