Came here for the first time with a few people, all the food we ordered was great! We tried the crispy tofu squares, veggie... spring rolls, seaweed salad, gyoza, XLB bao. One downside is the price, we ended up spending a fair amount per person due to thesmall portions. Service was just okay, we felt ignored or forgotten by our server at times and they didn't have enough cleandishes to provide water cups or silverware during parts of our service. Read more
It was... Fine. Fried tofu appetizer was very tasty but dumplings themselves were not that exciting. Things came out fast but... they were also pushy about getting us in and out. The major downside is the price. You pay 2-2.5x for what you're getting andit's definitely not worth it. There's cheaper and better options in Oakland and any other part of Berkeley Read more
The 3 Stars is not food related, since I haven't gotten to eat anything yet. I have tried twice, unsuccessfully. The first... being that they don't open til 11am ( I got there at 10:45am ) and the next day I stopped on my way home and there was a signthat said No Take Out Orders, so I couldn't bring it home for dinner. There are thousands of commercial and industrial workersin the neighborhood that have lunch before 11 am ( especially when you start at 5 or 6am ), so you are missing out on a lot ofpotential customers by opening at 11am and not having to go options is more missed opportunities. It is finally open, my favorite dishes are beef gyoza and pork soup?s dumplings. Both of dishes are very delicious and seasoning... very well. Services are great, easy to order and food came pretty fast on the table. Read more
Great table service by Iris and other staff who complemented food service! Waited around 1/2 hour, for linner (3pm ish) on a... Sunday, 3rd day open - not bad for walk up seating. Tried Wood Ear Mushroom Salad, Garlicky Green Beans (dried fried andcrunchy as expected), seared BBQ Pork (belly) Bao, Vegetable Dumpling and green tea in press pot. All very good. Will return totry garlicky noodles, chicken dumpling, maybe jellyfish salad (described as spicy, as was the wood ear (but wasn't too spicy),and other dishes. Second day open, went on a whim (had planned to go elsewhere but walked by not knowing it was open). Quick seating, quick... service, absolutely amazing food. The servers were attentive and ensured we were taken care of and informed on expectations(i.e. small, shareable plate focus). They were also helpful with and welcoming of our 2 year old dining with us. Highlyrecommend and looking forward to returning soon :) Read more
SO YUMMY! I got the Wakame Salad, Har Gow, and Siu Mai. All the dishes were delicious, and the cilantro green sauce that comes... with the Har Gow was different but soooo good. The service was 10/10, every single staff member was attentive, quick, and kind.My server?s name was Mar, she gave great service and was also very attentive. Tried four 3 times - twice delivery and once pick up. The food was mostly good all three times and survived the transport. I... think the SF location is better. However, the service in Berkeley is atrocious. I greeted the cashier and told her I was thereto pick up my order. She shoved the bag at me. I said thank you have a good evening, but she had already turned away. Noresponse. Not that it?s excused, but I wonder if she thought I was a delivery driver which makes me recognize how badly driverscan be treated. The prices are high, so not sure how often I?ll be back. Read more
