Tasty burgers is an understatement. You won't find better burgers anywhere close. You can taste the freshness of the lettuce,... tomato, onions and especially the patty, and it's always perfectly put together. I went there once and was surprised at how goodthe burger was. I figured I might have been lucky to order on the day they got new supplies, but every single time I've gonethere since, they have made the same quality burger. Super fresh-tasting. It is leagues above most fancy restaurants even. It isexactly what a burger should be. Was driving up University Avenue in Berkeley and spotted this Nation's. Easy parking in their large lot. Went inside and this... location was large! Three people behind the counter multi tasking taking orders and cooking. Was there at 2pm and they hadcustomers seated eating and about 15 more people came in while I waited for my Giant Harvester burger. Yummy by the way. Oh my,the pies they had for sale made my mouth water. About a dozen different pies to choose. I was impressed by the cleanliness,service and just how good a veggie burger could taste. The best part of this place is the size of the space. Massive amount of seating for a restaurant in downtown Berkeley and it... even has a large parking lot to match which is great if you want to drive to come down here. I ordered the burger with onionrings and they price everything on the menu a la carte with no combo savings to be had so be careful what you order as it addsup quickly. The burger was massive but really just average as the meat was quite dry and well done. Onion rings were alright butthe portions were surprisingly small. The large amount of raw onion in the burger is fantastic if you love that but wish theyhad a carmelized onion option instead. I also had a small slice of berry pie and while it was good, there was nothingexceptional and most store bakeries would have produced the same result. Read more
