This is such a nice café. Their double latte is good, and I loved listening to Bach/Beethoven by the Sunday Cello trio (when... their playing was in sequence). I love any place that provides little teapots with tea orders, and their Earl Grey is good aswell. There is a minimum $5 spending limit on a credit card, and they offer gingersnaps for $1. The S. Pellegrino is also aplus! It's lovely sipping coffee in a place surrounded by paintings and students. Read more

When in Berkeley that was my favorite spot. The musical offering is a pearl in the desert of quality venues. It's not just the... food (good!!!) Nor the music played there live and offline (good!!!). It's the atmosphere. Go there. You'll come back. For sure.10 STARS!! Read more

I really like this place. The menu choices are limited, but what they make is very good and refined. I usually order a sandwich... salad soup which is very well priced another ten bucks. It is 1 of the few places where I like to also pick up baked goods likebanana bread. Enjoy their drink selection ranging from freshly made juices to coffee and if you are meeting someone for lunchand arrive early, you can peruse the back of the restaurant where they share a space with a local classical CD record/albumvendor. The only drawback to the cafe is the size and limited seating. I do enjoy sitting in the upper section but it is quitecramped and if you go with a large group larger than 4 you only have seating options at the front for maybe up to 6. As ahealth-conscious adults I love this place. But if I took my kids here they would really struggle with what to choose beyond thebaked goods and juices. Read more

A quiet and nice place with European atmosphere. There's classical music playing at the background, what makes it a perfect... place for studying or chatting. Nothing spectacular about food or drinks though, they are fine. Read more
