Vik's Chat was one of the top results when I searched best Indian food in SF. even though the place was in Berkley I thought to... give it a try. After reading some good and bad reviews I feel I needed to see what is good there. The place had a nice backyardwhere people can sit and eat their food. It is like a grocery store with a food corner. I was not that hungry so I just wantedto taste one thing from this place and chole bhature was something everyone said was really good here. I have never had adecent chole bhature since I have been here in the US  so I didn't have high hopes for this place either. The place wasrather clean and spacious. They have a token system where you pay and then your name is called for the food. I was seeing howthe bhatura was made and it reminded me of how it is made in India . when my order was ready they called my name and I could seethe bhatura all puffed up .it got me excited. honestly, this was the most delicious chole bhature i have ever had. price wiseI would say it was a bit pricey considering you get one big bhatura . Overall I really enjoyed the food. Read more

Really enjoyed the Bhatura Cholle and Chicken Biryani. The Masala Dosa was decent as well. Buy the jug of Mango Lassi from the... attached grocery store and split it using the water cups instead of buying it from the eatery as it?s much cheaper. Read more

Ample parking. The food was great. The tandoori and the biriyani were ok but every other dish was amazing. I highly recommend.

Viks Chaat is a good place to go to try some not common Indian food. Plenty of vegetarian options. It'd ne nice if they had more... pictures or ingredients in their menu for those of us who are not very familiar with the names. Warehouse-like environment withindoor and outdoor sitting. Portions are pretty decent. Read more

Decent Indian food! Went there for lunch on a Saturday. You have to order food at the counter and wait for your name to be... called to pick up your food. We ordered Chole Batura, Pani Puri, Gobi Paratha and Pav Bhaji. I liked Chole Batura amongst all.Pani Puri and Gobi Parath were mediocre. Pav Bhaji was decent. Portion sizes were decent. They have ample amount of space forindoor and outdoor seating. It?s self-serve so you to clean your table after yourself. Read more

If you are looking for a great Indian food, this is THE place. You have to download the app and order it which is really... annoying for me because I am old and I don't like to have to download apps constantly to be able to order food from eachrestaurant. (You do this a lot in the bay area. Not many places left that you can order food from a real person.) While you arewaiting for your food, you can shop at their giant grocery. There are tons and tons of spices, and good quality products. Foodis delicious. Right now there are about 30 seats outdoor. The dining seats are still closed after Covid. Read more

Went here for lunch after a lot of contemplation. I was surprised to see a shop from one of the entrances. Ordered and then had... to wait for about 10 minutes. Food came packed in to-go like tiffin boxes. We ordered the Chicken Korma Thali, Vegetable Thali,Dahi Puri, Rose Lassi, Mango Lassi and Kulfi Falooda. Chicken korma was just okay and it came with one roti, pickle and Chanacurry. The pickle was a highlight. The veggie thali had Saag Paneer, Chana curry. Paneer was tasty! The Dahi Puri was just okay. The lassi's were also just okay. Falooda Kulfi was special too. All in all, the food was tasty with the caveat that it was atad bit costly than most Chaat places. Might come back for more. Read more
