I would give it less than 1 star if I could. My cousin and I went on a Tues. at 5:00. We were the only ones at the restaurant... and it took 5 minutes or more to get a menu. My cousin ordered wine. Took over 15 minutes to get it. I ordered fettuccine withtomatoes and broccoli in a herb cream sauce and my cousin ordered chicken picatta. Bread served was cold and stale (not surewhat was served for spreading, it was (red). No one around to ask. Waiter disappeared. Pasta was inedible, either hard(uncooked) and stuck together or overcooked. Similar to when you cook it without enough water in pot and don't stir. Very littlesauce, 2 thin peels of tomato and 2 extremely small pieces of broccoli florets. I couldn't even eat it and I was hungry. Mycousin said the chicken picatta was terrible and she would never return. Service 1 star, Food 0 stars. Read more
Absolutely the best dining experience I?ve ever had. My waiter, Edo, was easily the best waiter in the entire state of... Connecticut. The food was great, but the service was world class. Thanks for an amazing dinner. Read more
heard good things & went with bestie today; u wouldn't really be able to tell as much by the outside of restaurant, but inside u... def get more of the fine-dining-feels, with white tablecloths, newly remodeled interior, countless bottles displayed along thewalls & a nice looking bar...our server was 5-star as well; friendly & attentive throughout, without too many unnecessarycheckins which allowed for a less interrupted meal & convo...pricing was definitely reasonable...and, most importantly, the foodwas fantastic (see picture); exactly to order, tasted delicious & freshly made, & presentation was lovely. overall an excellentlittle gem of a place, would definitely return & recommend! I have been wanting to try Cornerstone since they opened. Finally had a chance to get there with my Bestie. We had a great time... and a great meal. I got the Philly Panini and fries, she got the garden salad with steak. Both were excellent and we would bothget those again, however, there were a lot of other choices on the menu that we will have to go back and try first. Reasonablypriced and service was prompt, courteous and attentive. Will definitely be back!!!! Read more
Cornerstone in Berlin just about tips the scales as high end dining. Outside of location doesn't do much for the place, but... once inside you get the fine dining feels with white tablecloths and a nice looking bar. Our server was 5 star perfect. He wassuper friendly, knowledgeable about the menu items and attentive throughout the entire meal. You start of with hot bread rollswith an awesome dipping sauce. Fried calamari were served hot, not overcooked and a decent sized serving. Gnocchi withblackened chicken was great!! You get a very large serving and this was also served piping hot. Zuppa De Pesce was fantasticas well and also served really hot and the large bowl was overflowing with food. Cornerstone is a great little place in Berlinand can easily see going back for more. One downside is the house water is simply awful. Would suggest a water filter orperhaps rinse glasses better after washing? Read more
We we're very excited to try the cornerstone restaurant. The inside is small, but very cozy and well decorated. Our server was... an amazing young man. The meals were underwhelming. Ask for medium prime rib with a little pink and it came well done. Mashedpotatoes very runny, Salmon was good but vegetables with it came in a sauce (which could have been our fault for not reading themenu carefully). The veal scallopini was just ok. Most reviews I've seen for the cornerstone restaurant have been very good.This could have been an off night. We might give it another try at some point. Read more
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Cornerstone. We split a garden salad, which was enough for a meal, then I ordered... the stuffed salmon special and he had a steak. Both meals were delicious, well prepared, and filling. Everything was homemadeand it showed. For dessert we ordered the cheesecake and tiramisu. I would definitely go there just for wine (amazingselection) and dessert. The owner was very friendly and we had a great conversation about where he was from. Staff was alsofriendly and we enjoyed chatting with them as well. This is a great new restaurant in Berlin and I highly recommend thisrestaurant to anyone looking for a night of good food and wine. In response to Sherry Lang. it was Monday that you came in not Tuesday. . I was sitting right at the bar and I noticed them walk... in and they tried to sit at a booth. It did not work for them. Then they sat at a hightop and her comment was this is not gonnawork for us tonight we're going to leave. We definitely will be back another time. She didn't have any dinner Her review is false.
