Lovely little place in the most delightful of small towns. We all had a great meal here and it was a delightful find right on... the main street. Staff are lovely and very attentive. All meals are made fresh and the fries were perfect. My son aged 8 said hewould love to go back. Definitely recommend this place for a lunch or breakfast. They ice cream flavours are crazy amazing sucha varied and unexpected range you will be split for choice. Fun way of enjoying them also as a float mailk shake or on theirown. I may live a while away but Berlin is small town America perfection, full of small delightful business like this one and Ishall be back the next time for longer. Read more

I love Rayne's Reef. It's Reuben is the best I've ever had. Love the cheese steak subs and it's cheeseburgers. Don't want to try... anything else, but I'm sure I wouldn't be disappointed if I did. AND the milkshakes are superb; prepared the old fashioned waywith real ice cream and the old-time blender. It's a relatively small place so sometimes you have to wait for a seat, but it'sworth it. Family of three went around lunch time...a very busy time! Only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. Waitress was swamped with... customers and everything was rushed but understandable with nationwide staffing shortages. Burgers are very popular and theylive up to the hype! Fresh and great taste fries ( frozen, though). Milkshake was good. My daughter really enjoyed her chickentenders! Definitely a must try when in town! $49 for three customers. Read more

When I was a kid, my dad took me to one of his favorite spots - a soda fountain that he remembered fondly as a child. Every... summer, during our visit to my grandma's house, we'd beg to visit the soda fountain. Part of it was because, like most kids, weloved ice cream, but the other part of it was that we loved having the tiniest window into my dad's younger life. As children,my dad was this larger-than-life figure - a stoic Vietnam vet who had seen a lot, but kept it to himself. But when seated at acounter sipping an ice cream soda, he was a kid again, just like us. Now, every time we travel someplace new, I'll do a Googlesearch for "soda fountains," which is how I found Rayne's Reef. One of my biggest pet peeves in visiting an old school diner iswhen they put up too much Coke signs and random flea market decorations that have nothing to do with the history of the place. My second pet peeve is when a diner looks super cute inside and out and then relies on nostalgia to serve subpar food. Firstoff - the diner is immaculately maintained and wonderfully vintage. It's a perfectly, cozy, time capsule of a soda fountain.Second, the food was really good and generously portioned, especially the kids meals which would easily satisfy most adults. Ialways like to order a classic cheeseburger and a milkshake when I eat at a diner and both were solid - classic diner fare donewell. If I lived locally, I would eat here often. And finally, the service. Warm, friendly, attentive - above everything else, that is what really stood out to us. My only recommendation would be to maybe have a small set menu of soda fountaincombinations for those who aren't quite sure what a soda fountain is. My dad passed away some time ago, and all but one of hisfavorite soda fountains have since closed. As such, I am constantly searching for ways to connect to him especially now that Ihave two little children of my own. My kids never got to meet my dad, but I hope that in taking them to pl Read more

The food was extraordinary! I was easily able to modify my meal to be dairy free and wherever they get those kaiser rolls from?... They are amazing bakers. Kaiser is hard to get right and these were easily the best part of the meal. Read more
