Customer service is not existent... Parking lots are filthy, trash cans are always full..back door has been broken for about a... year..coffee machines are grimy.. air pump is always broken.. credit card machines are disgusting. This place needs a tetanusshot. Read more

Customer service and cashier could be more involved at registers. Often have to wait for someone to come to the counter if... there's a problem with auto check out. I would like to start my review with saying, I frequent this store atleast 5 days a week. We spend hundreds of dollars a week... here. Mainly bc my children go to school across the street. The store is absolutely filthy, unacceptable. I went in yesterdayafter purchasing gas and a woman glared at me instead of welcoming me, she rolled her eyes and had the most uninviting look onher face. She looked me up and down. When I came out the bathroom she stepped in front of me, so I had to squeeze around her.Very uncomfortable and awkward feeling. A man named Will was asked what her name was he then said why don't you ask heryourself. Very nasty attitude. I proceeded to ask her what her name was she then asked me why. She refused to give me her name.I got close enough to see her name badge her name was Margaret. She was extremely rude. Honestly I am debating on just waitingto go to another store at this point. I understand a lot of children come in here before and after school,and this can bestressful. but she should always stay professional. I know Royal farms has some type of standard for customer service. Therudeness is unacceptable. I would appreciate if someone would talk to these people and explain how important it is to bewelcoming and professional. I worked customer service for over 20 years, never once would I speak to a customer/ patient thisway. Addendum: I stopped to get gas, they put it on the wrong pump. A worker named Denise refused to give me the managersinformation, she was nasty and rude! I only stopped bc I needed gas, I have had several bad experiences here! We wanted to sit at a table outside, they are always disgusting and filthy. I went inside, got some napkins and asked for... something to clean the table with. The young man who was working in the food area brought me a paper towel. I told him Ialready had napkins, I just needed cleaning chemicals. He said we don't have any chemicals, we just use water. So I asked himcould he run the napkins under the water. While he was doing that, I said what kind of establishment doesn't have cleaningchemicals, his response was " That's how we do it in America ma'am, we just use water. " Clearly I'm not from this country, Ihave a different accent. I couldn't see his name tag, he's the dark haired, bearded guy with a name that has 3 letters. What a disappointing way to start the trip back to DC... Filthy coffee bar with no napkins or paper towels to wipe it down (I'm... the customer and shouldn't have to do this). This store like most royal farms is trash. They do the bare minimum to keep the lights on. Ethanol free pump out back has been... broken for more than a year. When you find one that works it won't print a receipt so you have to go inside to get one. Staffare like zombies walking around in a fog oblivious to what's going on. The"self" check out is so bad they have to keep anemployee there to help people figure out how to check out. Why don't you just put the employee behind a register it would movemuch faster. Stopped in for dinner. Food preparer didn?t communicate with customers that chicken was cooking. Packed several boxes with the... sides and rolls and everyone waited. 30 minutes later, still no chicken. Meanwhile fries and other sides were sitting in theboxes waiting for chicken. Chicken became available. Customer ahead of us picked up 3 family boxes. Meanwhile, the cook hadn?tprepared to cook any more chicken . Inexcusable. The cook and server laughed together the entire time. Several customers gotrefunds and left. This place has really gone down. I suggest a kitchen manager at all times, especially when you?re runningspecials. Hire people that really want to work.
