Chef Patrick was like a saving grace for my wedding! I had called him by chance hoping I might be able to find a caterer for my... wedding that better fit my vision for what food I wanted served. I?ll say it was very last minute for booking something asimportant as a caterer for your wedding (nothing like a little last minute wedding planning stress). Uninspired by the caterer Ihad booked when first getting engaged, Patrick was miraculously available on my wedding date and had much more appealingofferings for an extremely fair price. He and his team were so kind to us. He was even dancing and having fun at the weddingwith us too! I can?t thank you enough for helping make our wedding a huge hit. Everyone raved about your food and ww soappreciate you and how accommodating you were to help my dad set and serve the cake and cookies he made for dessert. I had ordered finger foods for a rehearsal dinner. Patrick explained that we would need to heat up the phyllo cups, which I... agreed to. It was supposed to be delivered but at the last minute employees were out sick so we had to arrange to pick it up,which I understood. But the food came unassembled! My server I hired had to FILL the phyllo cups and then warm them up, and hadto MAKE the sliders with the ingredients sent. This was totally unexpected! I wrote to Patrick about it and all he said is hefelt the food would have been "fresher" if we did it ourselves. In that case I could have bought the ingredients at a market andmade them for much less. He quoted me $20-25 pp and in the end charged me the maximum of $25 pp, despite my dissatisfaction withthe food arriving not assembled, as well as having to pay my server to pick it up. Patrick and his team are phenomenal. They cooked for our wedding on 10/16/21. Not only does he keep his staff happy with good... energy because of his fair business model, but I got so many comments with the sentiment; ?I usually don?t like the food atweddings but that was incredible.? Patrick?s team rolled with oven challenges beautifully and did not let it cause stress (thatguests experienced) and even stayed later to make sure things were picked up and cleaned perfectly. From the first conversation I had with Patrick to our wedding day, you could tell this is a passion for him. He was so detailed... and helpful, I didn't know where to start and he walked me through all the options. Everything was perfect, and I still getcompliments from our guests on the food. The steak & chicken were cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth, the late nightpizza was a big hit as well. 10/10! We cannot recommend Hillside enough!!!! Read more
