0 STARS!!!!! My family and I were coming back from California and we were craving some tacos. My mom called and placed her order... she let them know that we would be coming around 9:55 pm since they close at 10pm. They said it was fine and they can take ourorder. Once we got there we ask for our order and they said it was already too late and they didn?t end up making them!!!! Great family atmosphere, even has restrooms and a drive up window. Bought a steak burrito. Meat seemed heated up, not fresh... cooked. Also meat was tough and were really thick pieces not bite sized. But great smoky flavor as if grill cooked. Live thetaste jus wish pieces were smaller. Read more
This place is just a shadow of what it used to be, no more tables only stools with counters. They turned it into a fast food... carryout restaurant, with a small window used as a drive-thru, for orders placed ahead of time. It's also super smokey in thisplace. I don't understand why they don't turn on the extractor, so it won't choke the interior with smoke. The steak burritosand tortas got smaller and almost doubled in price. The steak on my burrito was way over cooked and it caused it to taste likebeef jerky. They changed way too much, unfortunately not in good way. I'm not sure if I'll ever be coming back. Read more
Don?t get me wrong the food is great here. It?s just their current accommodations inside the restaurant. Unfortunately since the... pandemic a lot of things have changed. They took off all the regular sitting and added high tables with stools. They didn?t takeinto consideration handicap or elderly community when it comes to eating in. I took my grandmother and it was hard for her toget on the high stool. We ended up leaving the restaurant. The establishment does not have the home feeling it used to oraccommodation either. I've been going to Zaca for years. They used to be better. The tacos seem a little thinner. So do the burritos. If you order... extra salsa there is a chance you won't get it so, check your bag before you walk out. On a positive note, they're still tasty. Read more
It was not a good experience. I iThey skipped our order and we had to ask about it after seeing others who ordered after us... receive their food. We watched the guy just throw everything together and it was all a mess. The meat was bland and dry. I'venever had a chicken quesadilla with large strips of chicken breast before and I hope too never have one like this again. Firstand last time going there. Read more
Half a star review if possible, love this place until today, called in my order around 8 p.m. arrived at 8:20- 4 people standing... at counter chit chatting, my order was not ready, I pay for my order and go stand on the side looking at my phone, I hear themcalling out orders and people picked up thier food and go then I see what was my ordered be handed to the girl packing theorders and watch her take it and place it somewhere else then comes back to the counter and continues to chit chat with theother 3-4 people just standing at the counter playing around. I continue waiting till I see a couple who arrived after me like10 minutes later get called that thier order is ready, I look around and I'm the only "lucky" customer still inside waiting onmy food, and noone asking if I've been taken care of. It's 9:10 and it takes for me going to the counter to ask for my food as Iinterrupt the 2 workers showing pictures off to each other and ask if my order is ready- the girl looks semi surprised as if I'mbothering her I guess this is ok practice here now and all the manager keeps saying instead of "I'm sorry for the wait" oranything is if they charged me for my order, I got bothered and wanted to complain but again I guess this the new zacatacos way...... They should just close this location. Service and quality sucks! They used to have tables to sit and enjoy your meal-well not... anymore. I couldn?t enjoy my meal with my toddler. I had to order to go but when i came inside no one greeted or asked if Ineeded help ordering. Instead, there were about 5 waitress/cashiers standing behind the counter just mingling among them andwith the cooks. I had to ask for someone to come over and ring my order. I ordered chicken nachos but was greatly disappointedfar from how they used to service them. These nachos were soggy, ingredients weren?t even scattered on them except the yellowcheddar melted cheese. The chips used were those that six flags serves not even authentic Mexican chips.
