The Philly cheesesteak at Phil's was great. They even let us try a sample of "real pizza" to make it easy for us so that we... could try both. The guy working the counter said that if we've never had this type of style of pizza in Philly that we've neverhad real pizza before. Sweet sauce on top of pizza, no other toppings. I've been a regular customer at Phil's for 13 years since I moved back to the area and the stromboli's and pizza has been... phenomenal. Tom was a sweetheart and filled up my drink and took away my plate and cups. I always enjoy my visits and willremember to use cash next time to avoid the credit card fees. Read more
Typical place to serve Pizza, Steaks, Burgers, etc. Nothing highly unusual on their menu. Quality of the food is usually good... and dishes are made to order. There is no buffet of pizzas to choose slices from (except plain slices for lunch specials). Thestaff sometimes displays a bit of an Italo-Philly attitude but are never rude and care about their customers. The seating areahas an open layout which is nice. Read more
I think most of the negative reviews reflect food items that are not pizza. The cheese pizza and the upside down pizza are some... of the best I?ve ever had. I don?t say that lightly! The sauce is sweet, , the cheese is perfect portioned and the sauce tastelike fresh garden tomatoes! If you?re going to get a sandwich this might not be the place but if you want a perfectly craftedpizza this will be a life changing experience. Read more
The staff was not very friendly. Seemed to be very impatient and NOT helpful at all. They guy taking our order was pretty rude.... I don't want to say he was racist but it appeared that he was a lot nicer to some of the other non black people who entered thestore. We ordered the sausage pizza. It was okay. You can only get one free refill on fountain drinks. If you use too manynapkins or condiments you will be charged. Read more
Awesome place to grab a phenomenal slice of pizza. I come here for lunch with coworkers sometimes and the staff recognize us and... are always friendly. The pizza is the perfect level of crispiness and the sauce/cheese ratio is just right. Definitely stop byif you have the chance. Read more
