Info: (1) I?ve eaten at Swadleys since around 2000 (back before they had servers you had to tip and when they had a stage with... musicians playing on it) Pros: 1) Best bbq I?ve had anywhere 2) Comparatively great prices 3) If you ask for lean meat, youactually get excellently lean meat 95% of the time 4) The Thick n? Juicy bbq sauce is one of the best sauces anywhere - I?d buyit and only it if it were sold anywhere 5) The ultimate Bbq sandwich is probably the main reason I continue going back toSwadleys. The fact that you can get such a large sandwich with so many meats on it is literally head and shoulders above otherbbq restaurants. Cons: 1) Probably sometime in the early 2000s, there used to be no servers at Swadleys. You would get your owndrinks and bbq sauces. Overall, there is no need for servers, and it just results in an extra 15% cost on average forpatrons. 2) Although I?ve been a patron for years, it?s disappointing to see that this location failed to see health and safetyprecautions through the end of the coronavirus pandemic and instead decided to prioritize convenience. Seriously their ribs are good! But last 2 visits problem with sides. This last visit i never received my salad. I called and... held on for a mgr. He said corporate would call me. Not a word so far. The week before i had ordered fried okra. There were 2pieces that were edible. Old oil and overcooked to hard and burnt. I called and they said oh I will let the mgr. Know. I calledin and pick up at drive through and they want a tip. I didnt even get the food i paid for! Mainly everyone can make errors andsometimes they are very busy. I rarely even review restaurants. Only mention exceptionally good experience or when it's super bad. Well it was unfortunately... bad here. Ordered okra for the side got fries and saggy at that. Lunch burger wasn't fat as you call it and certainly not juicy.I can't even call it mediocre. Service was not much better, I guess I should just give an automatic discount for Bethany. Got the Oklahoma sampler. It gives you a sample of every meat and has a good amount of food. Portions are enough to share.... Service is great! Love there sweet sauce and bold and tangy. Read more

Great local owned bbq resturant. We had the lunch sausage sampler which had 3 types of homemade smoked sausage. The jalapeño... cheddar was awsome. Pictured below chopped brisket, fried okra (a must have) and sweet beans and campfire potatoes. The potatoeswere really good ole fashioned fried in a skillet with some seasonings and onion. The Okra was amazing. Very crispy, not slimeyand seasoned perfectly. Chopped brisket was a little fatty but that can happen. Overall very good and great service. Stop inright off route 66 Read more
