I have had many Dinners here. The only problem I have is that they close to early during the second season. Other Restaurant... owners should go in and have a meal and see how to keep a clean house. If I were to drop buttered bread on the floor... I wouldnot hesitate to pick it up and eat it. They have the best Calamari anywhere within the Mid-Atlantic. Read more

Just came from lunch at Bethany Oyster House and everything was fantastic. I had perfectly blackened mahi tacos that were... excellent. My three companions had filet, snow crab legs and ribs and all of us left happily full. Top notch hush puppies. Also, worth mentioning, this restaurant is exceptionally clean. Experience will depend on the server, the time of day and who is cooking? Not sure. Just know it is inconsistent. There are lots... of chips though. More chips than fresh seafood or service. Read more
This experience deserves my first bad review. Horrible food and service. One of us was ill afterwards. After ordering sodas and... beers it took half an hour receive our drinks and have our food order taken, the children had already completed all of the menuactivities and we had eaten all the chips. We received our drinks after I prompted the hostess for assistance. The crab cakesandwich that I received was indeed lump meet but tasted old and dry enough that I did not want another meal when I sent itback. One person from our table had eaten the chicken sandwich and spent the night sick. Read more
Very disappointed with this place. Came for the Calamari however after I ordered I was informed that they ran out. Okay, it's... Monday at 4:30 PM (Happy Hour) so I ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell.... five minutes later I was informed that theydon't have happy hour today because of Labor day.
