Nice servers and they were very busy. Had the burger with a crab cake on top. Very large meal but it's a favorite. Their crab... cake is better than average, not best, but slightly better than average. Burgers are just regular basic diner taste, thin, butwide. Fries are very hard/Crispy. The avocado BLT was also good, basic. The Dune fries were amazing! The coffee isn't great andonly have the basic lipton tea in a very tiny cup for 2 sips of room temp water so it didn't seep for $3ea. Used to be a wholelot better place, but then they only had 1 server per section I think. They need some good pastries and cakes on display. Itneeded something fresh/pop. Read more
Every time I went here it was great. A hostess seated us quickly. We waited for about 10 minutes at the bar and ordered a beer... while looking at the menu. We were enjoying a conversation with a hostess who was off duty. She lived at several places that wealso lived. Then we were called to be seated. The wait staff was friendly and pleasant and took our order of a salad and thehalf pound hamburger with fries and slaw. The salad came immediately along with muffins and butter. The hamburgers came beforewe finished our salads. We ate at the Cottage Cafe three times that week. Excellent service, good food and welcoming andfriendly staff. I strongly recommend this place. After shopping at Tanger outlets my son spotted the restaurant. Upon entering we were greeted and seated by a nice young lady. ... Our waitress (do not know her name cause she didn?t even tell us) came to our table and asked what we were drinking. Wereceived our drinks and ordered our meals. She returned with muffins and small plates and literally tossed the plate on thetable in my son?s direction. She brought out our meals. My crab cake was not fully cooked and disgusting. My son?s grilledjerk chicken sandwich did not taste good and fries looked were old and reheated. My mom?s chicken Parmesan was bland. Iinformed the waitress that the food was disguising and I wasn?t eating it and asked for the check she came back and asked me didI want take out containers. Read more
Had the weirdest thing happen at this place. We ordered the kids shrimp for our 6 year old, but apparently the waitress put in... the entree. When the bill came we noticed and asked to have it fixed. The manager came over and said he couldn?t fix it becausewe had already eaten parts of it. We had a few pieces of shrimp in our to go box, so I put them on a dirty plate and told him hecould have them back. At that point, he took the used shrimp and he agreed to fix the bill. This was our first and last timethere. 4 shrimp is a really dumb way to lose business. Read more
Came here for the first time with a small group and got quick, friendly service in a nice little time capsule of a place. Went to the Cottage Cafe for the first time. The Cafe has a good vibe, the tables have plenty of room, and the booths have good... partitions. We went there on a Sunday night at 6pm.. It was a little busy, but we were seated quickly. The servers had afriendly attitude and served us efficiently. The food came out quickly and looked delicious. The mini corn muffins were alsogreat. Service a little but the were nice enough. The food was some low budget basic drab straight of the sysco truck. The coconut... shrimp tasted like the frozen box kind you get at the grocery store. Side salad was a plate of lettuce. AND then I got the crabcake sandwich. They say it won some awards. I don't see it. It was more like a crab slider. A slice of pickle covered thewhole patty.
