Parents are both from Bethel- and I lived here the first three years of my life. Moved to New Jersey after that. Anytime we take... a road trip to Boston to visit my brother at college we take a detour to Dr.Mikes. Ice cream is just as good as I remember itfrom when I was little. Only 1 size sundae, that is very large. Mixed nuts weren't chopped, plenty to munch on. I ordered Black Raspberry and that was... very smooth, creamy and tasty. I was disappointed with the amount of whipped cream and hot fudge and in my opinion, overpricedcompared to other places. The whipped cream was outstanding, just wish there had been more of it. The sundae with was abitunder $9 with the added toppings. Have to say, I've been to other places I like better, but Dr Mike's is obviously well likedin the area. Voted #1 ice cream shop in Connecticut! Ice cream perfect, but it was only time in my life there was just too much heavy whip... cream on a sundae ???? (I couldn't eat it all, which is a first) and no cherry on top. So maybe skip sundae idea and just orderice cream, it stands well on its own. Recommended: chocolate lace ice cream, black raspberry.
