This review is long overdue - Taproot is our absolute favorite place! We moved from NYC last year and we miss a lot of NYC's... food but wow, does Taproot help with that. This place, although quite small and unassuming in quiet little Bethel, delivers anincredible menu of creative asian fusion, with flair! The cocktails are incredible and you just can't find food like thisanywhere else locally. We love that it breaks the mold and is so creative, with a rotating and seasonal menu that alwaysexcites! Last time we were there, we had bone marrow that blew our socks off! We love this place - such a gem! Keep making greatfood!! Read more

Just moved to this small CT town called Bethel from suburban of NY, while we were in NY, we ate all over the place , a lots of... great restaurants that we tried . Now we living in CT, I didn?t think we will be able to find a decent place for a good meal!but after picked this small restaurant for my birthday dinner, it was so good , the place is very clean and food is fresh andtasty, staffs are very friendly. Very quant restaurant. Atmosphere was nice and inviting. Staff were very friendly and helpful with the menu. The food was very... good and flavorful. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I enjoyed the fact that the spicey food had a lot of flavorand not just heat. We tried the desert which we were told was something new they were trying. Very interesting blend of flavorsand textures. Taproot is delicious and not to be missed! It?s tucked away in a little corner where it?s easily overlooked, but the food is... undeniably creative and the presentation is amazing. The avocado toast at happy hour is in experience in itself. That havingbeen said the menu is a bit pricey, so be mentally prepared for that going in. It?s a culinary delight, though, and really worthit if you?re into trying new dishes. Ordering several small plates for the table to share gives everyone a taste without gettingtoo expensive.
