I was hesitant to leave this review as I came with a large party, but after going through other reviews I can see that subpar... service is the norm here. We got the vibe that the waitress felt very bothered by us pretty immediately. It took 45 minutes forthose who ordered appetizers and another 30-45ish after that to get our entrees (8 out of the 10 people ordering ordered sushi!)and when they did come out they were incredibly small portions. My belly said I could?ve eaten 3x that food, my wallet however,disagreed. 3 pretty simple rolls (alaskan, spicy salmon, tofu roll) was over $40. Their website is also up and running butapparently defunct. It advertised a Wednesday special that did not exist. To top it off, a woman of the establishment came intothe dining room with three puppies in her arms and showed them to dining customers/let them hang out in the dining room andaround food for a while. While the human in me was very excited, the service worker in me immediately recognized that this isvery much against food safety regulations. These pups barely seemed to be able to keep their eyes open and were long haired. Itall simply reeks of unprofessionalism and I would feel embarrassed working here with the lack of flow/organization going on. Weended up being treated to the meal by members of our party, but I don?t think I?d return again, even if I wasn?t paying for it.Xvault in west paris has good sushi, check them out! Read more

We had the most awful service. Our waitress was rude from the start for no reason. She made us feel like we were a complete... burden even though we were nothing but kind the entire time. Our food took 2hrs to come out, and three of us got basic sushirolls and raw fish for dinner. The food was very good, but our service was absolutely appalling. We weren't the only ones - wesaw multiple tables getting up to get their own silverware, napkins, refill water glasses. There were lots of people "working,"the restaurant was about 1/2 full, but no one appeared to be getting good service. And, our server was down right mean to us anddid her best to ignore us the entire time. Also, if you can, avoid using the bathroom in this restaurant at all costs - it?sfilthy! I'm a local and there aren't a ton of dining options around here, but next time I go out to dinner in Bethel, I?m goingto Suds instead - the food is great, the place is clean, and everyone is nice there. Maybe my expectations were a bit much, based on prices and location, but this is a good place with cool atmosphere and enjoyable... eats. Remember, this is a 0-5 scale, 4 is worth your time and belly; I just wouldn?t go far from my way for? Aside: service wasslow, but they told us it would be so. Best sushi we ever had. 2020 Update 2021: They went downhill. The roll we ordered was supposed to be deep fried crab like last... time. Now it's only got a little bit and the rest is imitation fake Pollack stick. For an expensive roll I don't want fake crab.The other rolls were bland. The eel roll was very bland. The server was ok but wasn't very attentive when we needed morebeverages. Needless to say I will not come back next year. The first photos with the wooden plate were from the 2020 trip. Thewhite plate is the 2021 disappointment sushi. I'm pretty sure it had mostly to do with the sushi rice was not cooked correctly.It tasted like Uncle Ben's unsweetened bagged rice. Best sushi ever here it?s more than just delicious it?s extremely appetizing. The wings are also a great selection appetizer as... well as the soups! Pre-covid i loved going to there soup bar they hosted in the Sunday River Lodge, hopefully it?ll come backaround sometime. The restaurant is great, customer is very friendly and welcoming, the style of the space is very elegant but iscasual dress. Great place selection of food to stop in with group or couples. Read more
