Started with a cup of French Onion soup was like they grilled some onions then added broth to it, the onions were hard and the... broth had a strange herb, would not suggest ordering this item. My main course was a 6oz filet with baked potato. The filet wascooked correctly and very tasty but the baked potato was under temp and hard the butter barely melted. I am a food servicemanager and according to serve safe rules a baked potato should be cooked to 210? and held no lower than 180?, but I digress. All in all, the food was sub-par at best. The service was very good the waitress was attentive and personable. I might give thisrestaurant one more chance if I am in the area but I would not make a special trip to visit this eatery. I just want to tell you that your staff did us so good. I am from California & I came to Pittsburg to visit my Aunt. My cousin... wanted to bring me to the best restaurant. We went to Walnut Grill. We are Asians. We were there for about 10 minutes, thewhole time no one approached us, the three servers/ hostess would not look at us and kept ignoring us and just to think of it, the place was not even full. We decided to leave. My niece recommended BONE FISH. I love to eat seafood. I have been eatingCalamari for the past 3 weeks but Bone Fish is the best, super yummy! I have eaten Lobster at NewEngland, & Philippines. But theBone Fish Lobster is the best Lobster I have eaten. So once again I thank your staff for making my day and satisfying my tastebud for letting us go to Bone Fish restaurant. Read more

Food was good. Service was terrible. No one checked on us, drinks took forever, and food was wrong. They also “ran out” of... FRIES, and items on the menu we were told about AFTER we placed our order. Overall, weird and bad experience. Read more

It was our first time at Walnut Grill. The blackberry margaritas were good. I enjoyed my crab cakes. My husband liked his... filet and shrimp. Our server was Gabby. She was informative, knowledgeable about the gluten free menu, and she had a greatpersonality. Read more

Let's do the good first. The food was good. Everything tasted decent and there was nothing terrible about the food. The... bad. The main issue is the service is absolutely terrible. The waitress only stopped a few times and I ended up eating my mealwithout a beverage. Anytime we needed anything there was no staff around. A simple 45min meal ended up taking almost 2hours. Second issue was the food wasn't what was in the menu. There were ingredients missing or served wrong. For the price ofthe food I expected a lot better experience and for the food to be prepared as described. We only showed up because we had acoupon but I don't think we will be back anytime soon. Amazing food and our waitress was amazing as well! Love the gluten free options. I got the spinach and artichoke Flatbread and... my friend got the harvest bowl. Both Gluten free and we lived every bite. Read more

Food was good, but the service has went down hill over the last year. We were seated timely, but it seemed no one knew who was... our waitress. After waiting 15 minutes, we finally spoke to someone and got the ball rolling. The food and drinks also took awhile, which normally isn't a big deal, but with a 3 and 4 year old it did start to take a toll on our visit. Food wise, thekids plates are huge and our plates were delicious. The happy hour specials on apps did help keep my kids a little busy. Read more
