Pros - Located on a beautiful and historic estate dating back to the 1920's - Great views of the Mt Washington range from the... patio and estate grounds - Excellent on-site dinner dining - Great location and access to area attractions, hiking trails, andtown of Bethlehem - The Inn's host (Ben) was very nice and a great embassador for the Inn and the surrounding area Cons - Theoverall Inn and grounds appeared neglected for some time and requiring of some basic maintenance inside and out raising thequestion of whether the place is on the decline. - Given that we stayed between Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, it was verydisappointing that there were no seasonal decorations that you would expect or look forward to when staying at a classic NewEngland inn (a couple of rotting pumpkins on the front doorstep didn't quite meet expectations). - There was basically nocomfortable common sitting areas in the Inn. Any potential for nice fireside or mountain view sitting areas appeared to be usedinstead for an expanded dining area or the business office. - Other than the host mentioned above, the otherstaff/management/chef were not friendly, engaging, or welcoming, and appeared stressed or discontented with their situation. -It's been a difficult few years with Covid and labor issues, etc; hopefully this place will find a way to meet it's amazingpotential. Adair was absolutely incredible. While we only went for dinner and cocktails, the rooms and grounds looked amazing as well.... Sarah was an amazing server and everything was inviting. Highly recommend the lamb and the scallops/shrimp over fresh madelinguine. Read more

Enjoy coming to this location and the food they serve. Because I got my reservation in late I chose to sit outside and enjoy the... Fall Foliage which has been quite the best. Never staying in the Inn, others have said it was to their liking. Service is greatand accommodating. Not too far from major routes and towns as well as sights to see a must. I feel you will walk away feelingsatisfied. Read more

This was our 1st trip to Adair based on a recommendation given to us. The place has ambience, fascinating history, unique... furniture pieces, beautiful flower gardens, outstanding grounds and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The chef has previousconnections to the Balsams and does a superb job preparing delicious meals that meet the criteria for excellent fine dining. Thesteaks we ordered were incredibly tender and tasty as were the vegetables, potatoes, salad, soup and deserts. The menu offers awide selection of wines, mixed drinks and an adequate choice of craft beers. The only drawback we found is there are nodomestic beer choices such as Coors Light or Michelob Ultra which was a big drawback for customers like me who do not drink theother options but miss not having a beer with dinner. This restaurant would be our number one choice in the area if a domesticbeer was available! We can not say enough about the professionalism and friendliness of our waitress, Martha. Another employeesaw us looking at some of the interesting objects in the living room and volunteered to take us downstairs to show us thegranite room set up for entertainment. We were also told to feel free to walk around the gardens. Thus, the overall efforts tomake us feel welcomed and special were noted. We regret that we did not know about this restaurant sooner as we live within anhour of where it is located. This is the best in the area for fine dining and a terrific night out. The food and atmosphere areworth the trip!!!! We highly recommend the dining at Adair!!!! Read more

We are locals, this was our first visit to the dining room and it was superb. The Moroccan meatballs and house salad were... excellent. The rack of lamb and chimichuri spices steak were superb. Great desserts and drinks, and great customer focusedservice. The Christmas decor was beautiful as was the classic piped in Christmas music. We definitely will be back. Highlyrecommended. Read more
