Food was good but bland. Price seems high for the quality. Restaurant has no ambiance at all. Good for a quick breakfast, all... be it expensive, not a destination journey. Read more

Stayed up the road for the week and thought my family and I would have a nice local dinner to finish the week. The service was... decent, our waitress was great. The food however, was out of an episode of Gordon Ramseys kitchen nightmares. Everything waspreviously frozen, cold, hard, and all you could taste was the freezer burn. The fish from the fish and chips oozed raw batterfrom frying. Whoever is in the kitchen there needs to clean up their act and get some lessons in food safe practices. Waste of100 bucks. Disaster. Our stay at this is a charming, family-run inn was delightful. The innkeeper was clearly busy but very attentive and friendly.... We stayed in the annex and it felt like we had stepped back in time to the "motor lodge" era, in a good way! The beds were verycomfortable and sleeping next to the babbling river was so restful. We had a delicious breakfast (included with room) in alovely dining room that overlooks the river. I can't wait to go back for another stay! Read more

My fiancé and I stayed at the Mount Washington Hotel, but I honestly think the food is very subpar for a purported 4-star... hotel. I found this lovely spot searching Google, and we both were very pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. We were theonly customers for the first part of our time there, sat in a very lovely, homey dining area overlooking a stunning river withgorgeous late afternoon sunlight trickling in. Our waitress was great, attentive and the food we had was plated so nicely andtasted delicious. I made a mental note about the fact there are rooms to stay in on-site because I think The Wayside Inn, byfar, trumps Mount Washington Hotel in every respect! Read more

Super cute inn, staff was also very welcoming. They have a cute dog named Lady. Rooms a spacious, mattress is pretty firm, no... TVs in rooms which I enjoyed. They have a common room with a tv there. The breakfast was delicious ( got the omelette) butcoffee was more like hot flavored water. The view from the dining area is absolutely gorgeous and gives on the river. Woulddefinitely come back!
