My wife and I attempted to grab a bite around 730PM this evening as we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. There were... several empty tables outside and we sat down at one of them. A very nice server appeared and told us he'd take care of us. Wewaited way too long for a place that hardly looked busy, yeah I get it, it's still hard to staff. Then a tall , dark young ladywith iron in her nose ( I love piercings etc, I mention it only so the Mgr. can identify her ) walked over and freakin SCOLDEDus for not seeing the sign that says something about customers needing to check in with the host/hostess who was nowhere insight. The sign is easy to miss if you're approaching from the south, as we were. Plus, it was our first visit. Having worked inthe restaurant business a good number of years I'm offended by rude behavior and restaurants that have no clue they are in thehospitality business. We of course, got up and left, and instructed the other six members of our party that we would now meetelsewhere and blow almost a thousand bucks in a hospitable place. Won't be back. If I could rate service & the meal seperatly... our server would get 5 stars and our meal at brunch would get 1. Our server was... energetic & kind - he was quick to put in our orders & checked back frequently. He was the best part of our stop. The rest ofthe experience...not so great. Essentially the Dulce Leche Crepes had so much topping on them they were sickingly sweet andnearly inedible. The American Crepes were completely tainted with whatever was made before it (garlic maybe) so I had abreakfast of garlic & maple syrup. To top it off I decided to treat myself to a light refreshing sangria only to find it wascloser to jungle juice... I had sip of a $13 drink. We left $40 poorer and feeling sick to our stomachs and the worst part -still hungry somehow. I was really looking forward to this place I've heard good things but I guess it just wasn't our day. 6 of us ate here to celebrate a friends birthday, her restaurant choice. Beautiful day so we chose to eat outside. Not the most... comfortable seating choices especially for a group of 6. On the side of the building, which we did like, but bench seating andtwo tables put together, which were wobbly and on a slant. We did like that you could order food from Cachette and/or Tapas. Fora few of us, it was our first time here. A few felt that it was a bit on the expensive side for what you got. Everyone seemed toenjoy their meal though. Two of us got the same ham and cheese sandwich which was on grilled sourdough and we loved it! We allfinished the meal with a sweet dessert crepe, most had the original which is Nutella, strawberries and bananas. Really enjoyedit, took half of it home because it?s huge! Complaint would have to be that the crepe was a bit on the undercooked side and abit tasteless. I actually think my homemade crepe recipe has more flavor. Assortment of drinks, I had the white sangria, whichwas very good. I would go back again and I?m sure we will, as it?s one of the Birthday girl?s favorite restaurants! Overall,worth the visit! Honestly, I was very excited to go here. I've heard lots of good things! However, I was a little disappointed with my meal. Food was delicious. Beautiful day to eat outside and enjoy a margarita. Ordered off the Cachete menu, was offered the Tapas on... Main menu as well. Both are great menus, can't wait to go back and try more. Read more
