We were greeted promptly upon arrival and were taken to our table. Our waitress was wonderful and came back to check on us... twice. I had a fresh fruit cup, Eggs Benedict and home fries. My friend had pancakes and an omelet, both of which weredelicious. ???? Neither one of us got dessert, but their muffins, cookies and pies looked delicious! The Ladies' room was veryclean! Perkins, $$, is a great place to eat. ???????? Read more

This chain has not been the same for a long time. Once we were sat we waited for our server about 10 minutes, the manager that... sat us didn?t offer us a beverage or let us know when to expect our server, so we just waited while a different server pasted uswithout as much as a glare in our direction to bus the table next to us. Our server Donna is a dinosaur of the trade, knowingthe ins and outs of the business. She did her job well. Once we started placing our order we were informed that potato pancakesare no longer available, really?? Once our order was taken our food came out in a timely manner and it was good. All in all, notmuch to brag about here. Read more

The food was really bad tonight. A french toast and 2 breakfast skillets. The desserts were really good however! Banana cream... pie and 2 shakes. All good. This place used to be a favorite of mine for at least 10 years. Now it will most likely be a coffeeand dessert spot only. The last 3 visits let us down as far as food quality. Sadly, it is very difficult to find a healthyvegetarian option on the menu. Joshua, our server, was wonderful. 10/2022 Update. I?ve been back to Perkins about four timessince this last review and the food is back up to the standard it used to be. Very good food and great service. Back to fivestars. Read more

Tried to grab a late snack on 9/23. The manager, John, seated us in the same section as a festive wedding party with... approximately 20 people. The poor waitress was trying to handle the party and us. The other sections were being waited on verytimely. After 15 minutes of being ignored, we got up to leave. John volunteered to seat us else where, but he refused toapologize for his original faux pas. We went else where and received excellent service. Bye bye Perkins. Read more

Wasn't very pleased with the food tonight. I ordered a omelette with sausage and American cheese and it was so thin and like... plastic and the cheese wasn't even melted. It was very I'm happy with how my omelette came out looking and tasting and had itremoved off my bill. My waitress was very apologetic and she was absolutely awesome! The service was great the food was not. Ifeel like Perkins is going down a little bit in the food department Read more

I have been buying pies from Perkins? restaurants for years?and I swear by them. They aren?t ?cheap?, but the flavor and the... tender caramel-apple crumb pie is worth every cent to me; try one and I?m absolutely positive you?ll agree, wholeheartedly!! Iusually buy my pies from 2 restaurant/bakeries?the one at Cedar Crest and Hamilton, and the other on South Lehigh Street, bothin Allentown. Last week I found myself on Rte 191 in Bethlehem, so I decided to purchase my pies for our Memorial Day familycookout there at the intersection of Rte 22. The pies smelled, and tasted as they should, the apples just slightly firmer than?tender??the way they should be; not hard to chew at all and yet not mushy. All-in-all, everything seemed on par with the piesat my usual restaurants. So why then would I rate this restaurant only 1 star, you are probably asking yourself. The caramelon both pies was mostly ok, but there were large globs of it around the edges that had firmed up like rubber, impossible to chewthrough; it seemed like a cross between rubber and leather. [SEE PHOTO #1] That, in-itself, wasn?t favorable but was forgivableIMHO. But there was something far worse than the caramel plaguing these pies. Both had thin, pointy and sharp shards of plasticbaked into the apple filling. The pieces ranged in size from about 1/4? to just over 3/8? in width and were very thin. [SEEPHOTO #2] At first, the attendees of the cookout who found the plastic in their pie, myself included, thought it to be part ofthe apple cores which have a similar color and texture?flexible yet solid and not chewable. I believe I swallowed one byaccident, Not expecting anything but edible ingredients in the pie, but then another piece came to my fork. When I couldn?t chewit, I spit it out into a napkin so that I could look at it. Moments later I realized it was plastic, and brought it to theattention of the rest of the family. Two others had spit out pieces they thought were core onto Read more
