This is a great place for a unique taste, there aren't many other NOLA style restaurants around. I would recommend doing a... reservation for any night of the week because this place it popular. Everything I had was delicious, especially the cornbreadappetizer and I made sure I saved room for dessert, a brownie sundae! I would definitely recommend to anyone! Read more

The Nashville Mac&Cheese was bomb ???? Though eating it all very quickly gave me a bit of a tummy ache haha The menu was full of... amazing comfort foods, but I had to get my go-to out of the way. Looking forward to Chicken&Waffles next time — and there willbe a next time! Staff was very friendly, and were friendly with my buddy’s dog in sitting outside. Only complaint I couldthink of is that the walk-in “waiting” space doesn’t exist, so as I waited to ask the hostess a question, two more groupsof patrons arrived and we were scattered to just stand in the middle of the restaurant, with tables of patrons eating aroundus. Didn’t hurt me none, just food for thought! Thanks again for the good eats ???? Read more

On a road trip from Ohio, we saw The Bayou and stopped in to try it out. We didn’t have reservations, but we found a place at... the bar, even though most of the tables were empty. They said they had lots of reservations, which we understood, but all thosetables remained empty through our hour long stay there. The perogies are an amazing appetizer and would recommend to anyone. Mywife and I both had Cajun dishes. While they were really good, they seemed to be missing a kick I was expecting. Read more

This restaurant is incredible!! We wanted to try a local spot after a trip to the casino and we are so thrilled that we did. The... menu is unique and has lots of options. My husband, who is not a huge foodie, ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich... he saidit was the best thing he's ever eaten. Hush puppies were amazing and so were jalapeño grits. We will definitely be taking thedrive back to eat here again, delicious!! Read more

Not impressed, but it's not bad. Ordered takeout for a family of 5. Price was about $13/person which decent. We got the gumbo,... hush puppies, pierogi, smokehouse burger, and a kids cheeseburger. The size of the rice was in a sauce cup for the gumbo.Flavor was a bit lacking, but the texture was ok. Burgers tasted like they'd been sitting under a hot lamp, and the hush puppiesweren't traditional, and were pretty ok- the days they came with is excellent. Read more

The Brisket Mac & Cheese was a great way to start our meal but be aware it is a large portion easily shared between 3 to 4... people. My brisket sandwich was tasty, juicy, and the bread was super fresh. Highly recommend The Bayou! Read more

My first time visiting here with a group of friends. We had a great time, the food was delicious, some dishes had more spice... than we anticipated, but still very good. The only thing that was off was the chicken and waffles. The syrup on it was verydifferent. My friend ended up getting something different. I personally enjoyed the mac and cheese with the ham and peas. I alsotried the mac and cheese with the brisket. Both were delicious. My favorite dish were the pierogi's. I cannot wait to go backfor that dish alone! My only complaint was how annoyed our server was with our group when we asked for separate checks. But wemade sure to tip her well. I know being a server is a hard job. Read more
