We had an absolute precious experience at Denny?s. Everywhere in Big Bear closes early?and we were hungry and exhausted from a... long day of climbing. After having no luck checking out several other restaurants around 9:30pm, we settled for the localDenny?s. But we were warmly greeted by Janet, who was SO friendly and charismatic. We got our food quickly and it was tasty. Butthe real treat was all the big laughs and endearing moments we shared with Janet. She?s the best DJ too?the playlist wasbumpin!! The best customer service I?ve ever received at a Dennys location. Janet the store manger was so welcoming and recommending her... favorite foods! She truly makes the place feel so welcoming and her positive energy is so uplifting. The whole staff were greatand so hardworking! All their hard work is definitely appreciated. Service was great from start to finish! Entire staff is very friendly and took good care of our group of 8. Our waitress, Nancy,... she is really good at her job. Very kind, patient, and observant. Great service, waters and coffee were always filled, she knewthe menu well and was able to recommended some items for us that definitely hit the spot! Will be back and will be asking forNancy. I love this place! I go here once a week at least or more with my wife and our friends. My wife and I have been going here since... 2017 when we were only dating. The service has always been amazing especially from the manager Janet who has always been supergreat and responsive to anything we've needed like refills, napkins and the many chocolate shakes we always get. This managerhas ALWAYS been consistent in being incredible in customer service. Whatever Janet is being paid just isn't enough when youaccount for the Incredible unrelenting customer service skills presented to every customer that walks in the door. This Denny'sis run very well and the servers seem to do a good job and the server Jordan is always very fast with taking our orders anddoing her job overall especially with recommending different food to order. The food was good but the claw machine was disappointing. My daughter wanted to play it and I told her it was probably a scam. I... asked the cashier if I could pay him $20 for a teddy bear. He said he was sorry but Denny's didn't own the machine. I asked if$100 would do it, but he told me honestly, he didn't have the key. I felt there had to be a solution to the problem, I triedpaying it and got the expected nothing result. I was considering smashing the glass with a coffee cup but realized I may end upin jail for that. I'm hoping someone reads this review and contact me with a solution. Read more
The service was amazing, so attentive, not a long wait hence we arrived at the time it opened. The food was pleasant, not as... good as other Denny's restaurants. The Cali sandwich bread was hard and the turkey breast was flavorless. My son's bonelessbuffalo chicken wings were lacking the buffalo sauce and they were hard. On the other hand my daughter's chocolate chip pancakeswere delicious and soft. Maybe it was a rough start for the kitchen staff. Have a great day and enjoy yourself.
