Some days the chickens taste juicy and nicely cooked and other days the chicken tastes dry and old. I'm not sure if my food was... refrigerated and microwaved. Every time I order large family meals, I ask for extra guacamole sauce and half the time I'mgetting like 3 sauces or large chicken meal. Are the employees doing this on purpose or what? After reading all the terrible reviews I'm actually kind of glad I didn't get to eat here. LOL. So I pull up at 9:18pm and the... are supposed to be open until 9:30pm but there is a cone blocking the drive thru and the doors where locked to goinside. Probably saw like 8 employees just pushing a broom, honestly it didn't even look like they were cleaning. Prettydisappointed, but hey the Taco Bell was open still and I got in and out with my food with no problems over there. One of the dirtiest and nastiest pollo loco I?ve been to. My wife and family came in on 8/15 around 12pm. First of all, no one... inside the restaurant and it was a mess in the dining area. Next, the cashier very slow and all the staff messing around whileno customers were present and they couldn?t even stop and clean. We ordered a 10 pc familiar dinner and everything was dry onthat chicken. This place really needs Improvement in customer service and cleanliness and food quality. Really good service that was fast and the first El Pollo Loco where the breast wasn't super hard, charred, and dry. As tourists... the only picture we took was of the giant piles of snow in the parking lot, but trust us, it was good food, too. Read more
I love all El Pollo Loco restaurants but this location isn't one of their shiniest. The bathrooms are not as clean as other... locations and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant is, well..."isn't". The salsa bar was almost empty of everything andvery unappealing looking. What was left of the avocado salsa (my favorite!) was a thick, pasty & very"different-looking-than-normal" salsa. Granted it is January in Big Bear but eating with a down parka on isn't optimal. Feltlike there was more than the drive thru window open. I felt bad for the employees, yes it was THAT cold! BUT speaking of theemployees, they get 5 stars for friendliness, quick service and patience with a very steady stream of customers!! In addition,the food was tasty as usual! A little cleaning and bump the thermostat to at least 60 degrees and it's a five star El Pollo Locorestaurant! Read more
