I collect great rest stops and service plazas since I drive more than 150K miles a year. This was an unexpected gift of a stop.... Beyond friendly, welcoming and helpful people despite current staffing issues across the country I would love to give specialshout-out to Brook who went out of her way and helped me tremendously out of the greatness of her heart. Pretty big reststop, the restrooms are also pretty fancy and from what i saw clean.
Just had the nicest experience at this Flying J. While my husband pumped gas I used the restroom and then poured two large... sodas. When I went to the register to pay the clerk he said to have a great day. I looked confused and asked how much I owedand again he said to have a nice day and that my purchase was on the house. When I asked why he said that he felt like beingnice. I couldn?t thank him enough for such a sweet gesture. Read more
Employees were out in the store talking among themselves and making morning coffee while I was getting a cup. They were talking... about how busy the previous afternoon and evening was and freely talking about a conversation the manager had with a member ofthe cleaning staff. He said to his one staff person, "I don't care if there is a million people in line for the showers. You dothe trash and then the bathrooms first." I took offense to this comment allegedly made by the manager. I took a shower on thisprevious afternoon. Had been driving all day and the wind forced me to stop in the early afternoon like many trucks that hadbeen on the road. It was very hot and I had been sweating profusely. Dust and dirt from the wind covered me and all in my hair.The staff member in question was working very hard cleaning showers and the wait was still 20 minutes. So is this why Flying Jis always more dirty than a Love's? Do you not put an emphasis on cleaning, instead having just one guy do it all? Then otheremployees trash him? It was very busy and I'm not sure anyone would have been available to help him but to tell a hard workerhe's doing it wrong and others to talk bad about him seems counterintuitive. I would suggest you hire more staff but your notgoing to keep the good ones you have. Read more
Ehh it's alright, signal and wifi sucks. Breakfast at diner was good, their "sirloin steak" was definitely not sirloin nor was... it good at all. First steak I received was Bleu Rare and harder to chew than a tire. Sent it back and got another that wascooked right and wasn't tough but there was no flavor whatsoever, not even A1 could save it, also no I didn't order well done.The waitress was great, kept my drink full and constantly checked in. Also to the owners, one of your fire extinguishers isbeing blocked, fire code violation big no no. Read more
I don't like feeling here. The fuel pumps have different prices. The place is not honest and it's not clean. The restrooms are... dirty and it's just not friendly. Read more
I avoid this one. Not much works good here. The place isn't that clean. There are different prices at at fuel pump. The parking... lot is big but not even. The Plus for today is paper towels and washer fluid at the fuel pumps. The restaurant is openagain. They do have a subway. The rest of the food isn't that good. The new owners are not recommended. Worst pilot experience in a while. The store is nasty food everywhere and the floors look as though they haven't been cleaned in... a while. For a 11am stop I expected the store to be cleaner. The coffee station was disgusting 3 out of 4 coffee stations wereempty. The whole area was in disarray. Milk and creamer congealed on the counters flies everywhere. I do not recommend thisstop.
