Have been there a handful of times. I?m originally from Brazil and enjoy the fact that I can eat some food from back home in... Billings. Their tilapia is delicious and the coconut sauce is probably my favorite part of the whole meal. I love the ?pão dequeijo? (cheese bread) and their drinks. 4 stars is because you normally get too much rice and not enough protein or sides. Ialso tried one of the treats they call ?Brigadeiro?, but that was a big misrepresentation of these original Brazilian treats. Ican?t speak about the other flavors, but the blueberry ones.. they?re definitely not ?brigadeiro?. Read more
I was looking for a place with healthy food and found it at Five on Black! Great rice bowls with you choice of greens, meat,... grains, beans and sauce. Plus delicious little bite size rolls. Nice, clean and relaxing place to dine inside or at outsidedeck. Love this place! Read more
This place is really good. Imagine Chipotle, but way bigger portions (for the large), and more tasty. I?m an early-20s guy and... the large bowl had more than enough food for me, plus it was all tasty. It seemed pretty healthy too - you could get sweetpotatoes and mixed cooked greens. Tried the Brazilian stew on a bed of greens and rice, and it was quite tasty! The regular size bowl is HUGE (and I was hungry),... so the small actually may be good size to consider. Very friendly, knowledgeable and fast service. Read more

The outside and inside of this establishment is very modern and I think designed well. That really is as good as it gets here... tho... Upon entering there was no one to take our order and when the young man came he was still chewing food from the back.Getting a philly cheese steak in Philadelphia would have had nice customer service and they are on purpose trying to bemean The food has no taste, from the rice to the meat to the sauce. Chipotle and Qdoba have much more flavor and larger portionsfor the same, less at Chipotle, price. Read more
Five on Black is healthy, quick, and quality fast casual food. Imagine the walk through style of Chipotle, but with authentic... Brazilian food. They have great vegetarian/vegan options, everything is gluten free, and their soda uses cane sugar. There?splenty of seating, but this is a fast casual restaurant, so don?t expect to camp out. My favorite is the Feijoada with blackbeans over rice and lettuce. Make sure to get some cheese bread, because it will change your life. Read more
I have had five on black in Great Falls, Missoula, and now Billings and every single time I go it is always the best meal I?ve... ever had. If I could eat it every day I would. They expanded their menu and I still can?t not stick to the original menu. 10/10every single time. I?m moving out of Montana and this restaurant will be one of my top five things I?ll miss.
